butterfly fared well with the general public from the looks of it. i’ve noticed those who’d disliked it were only longtime fans who evidently expected much “more” from her. everyone else seemed to enjoy it. i assume Cupid’s Girl will be the same this time around, though there will be less who disliked it and more who enjoyed it judging from the small sample size that is this thread, lol. personally though, judging from the leaked snippet, Princess of Power might be the fan favorite amongst the three singles.

Hello! As you know, I love designing alternative covers, so I changed the one for Cupid's Girl by Marina because I felt a different aesthetic would be better. I hope you like it.

I believe she said that something was coming during Aquarius season, not the album specifically and I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be Butterfly but it got delayed and released a little later bc of the wildfires in LA

I feel like these lyrics have the same silly vibes as some of past unserious songs (E.V.O.L, BB, Homewrecker). I guess that's why many people think this is her most Electra Heart-esque song released so far. Even the way she sings in some parts sound a bit tender and unserious like she did on EH.

Too Afraid appreciation post for real, this song is so sad imo, I'm really feeling this song all over when I listen to it

What's even better about CUPID'S GIRL is that all parts (verses, pre-chorus, chorus, post) are all equally good. This is such a bop 

only thing that hasnt aged well for me is the verses, i find the shift from the chorus to them a little jarring  the songs not bad though and its so catchy. bridge and chorus have been constantly rotating in the back of my mind since i heard it
