True the lyrics are actually quite positive but the overall tone seemed almost restless to me, like we're always driving yet never getting to a destination. making me think of it as a sadder song, if that makes any sense?

I've yet to listen to anything besides On My Mind but based off what everyone is saying I'm pretty excited for the album. So what does everyone think this will sell in the first week?

I had no idea she considered Drive a happy song - I was under the impression that it was one of if not the saddest song on the record. (It's one of the best songs on badlands imo)

So it sold 27,000 more WW to ring the total up to like 409,000. I'm actually surprised by how well it's selling still, I honestly thought it would be free falling by now

My favorite part was when the interviewer was like should I write all this? Won't it piss off Francesco? part and she's so flippant with her response. I think she likes Francesco and his aggressiveness to a point but she still likes to exert a certain sense of control, evident from how she talks about their relationship in this interview

I think a big problem is that US is now Lana's biggest market, which basically just enables her to promote even less. Back during BTD days when the US "hated" her due the SNL incident (she still had a reasonably large fanbase) while Europe and the rest of the world loved her, she was basically forced to travel the world and promote, making her an international artist (a good thing.) But now she has reached her vision of "Americana" or whatever. Once the US started to care for her music more, it's like she started caring less, which resulted in her only going on a small tour through the U.S. this year. Of course when she started putting the most of her extremely low amount of attention in promoting towards the U.S., the rest of world began to care less. Honestly, if she doesn't like the performance of HM, that's her own fault. If she wants her music to do better and be recognized more, she need to act like she cares and is willing to try to promote, and she needs to make music that is more appealing. Until she cares about that then oh well

Doesn't it create an unfair bias to have Taylor on the Grammy committee when she is eligible for awards? Along with Beyonce's dad? Lana will not win anything, if she gets nominated for anything at all you'll have to pick up my jaw up off the floor. I hope at the very least Kendrick wins Album of the year, but I doubt it.

Album is okay, not revolutionary or anything. I actually think Stars Dance might be a better album? Selena has always been really good at serving basic pop bops, so I enjoy Kill Em With Kindness, Hands To Myself, Same Old Love, Me & The Rythm, and Me & My Girls. I think her best song though from an artistic~ level is still the heart wants what it wants

I hope her acting is good in AHS. Not too heavy-handed or overdramatic. I really want her to have a good reception for this project.

I'm not saying the smile is necessarily sinister. I'm saying that with combined with the music, it implies something similar. The smile in and of itself is sweet.

Young God is so awful and cringeworthy. The best songs from the album are Drive, Roman Holiday, Hurricane, and Hold Me Down.

How can people think they know how a song is going to sound before actually hearing it and can decide their favorite tracks already?? Like I was expecting some fucking conga flute whatever beach party with Music To Watch Boys To (like Whenever Wherever By Shakira ) and obviously that didn't happen. At this point I don't know what to expect and I like it like that.
