I had a dream last night that me, Lana, and a girl I can only describe as looking like a mashup of Kourtney and Khloe Kardashoan were hanging out at a party and me and Khloetney were trying to convince Lana to peform Young & Beautiful, and then some new music too. Eventually she reluctantly agreed and as we went to find the band my dream brain got distracted with a water balloon fight Basically I think my brain is saying that Lana needs to release the album before I resort to water-related violence

Fuck yes I am ready for this album. I don't follow him on any of his social media so I guess I had just assumed he had been on a music break. The album art is nice, but I wish the colors were darker.

Sometimes I wonder how well she would do if she did just surprise release the album. Would it do really well, or just okay? Would people be like omg new Lana Del Rey must buy now or would only mostly fans care?

I am seriously doubting the September release date since we continue to have no indication as to when a lead single is even going to be released

Okay Frank where the fuck is the new album @ I thought it was supposed to come out this month?

I think on hits daily double they said that she has been doing well w/ pre-orders, I'm not sure exactly what doing well with pre-orders would equate to in first-week sales, but I'm going to guess that 30-45k (maybe 50k) is probable. I think she'll do better than whatever Ryn did, and that she'll sell more than whatever Melanie Martinez is going to sell. As to her attitude towards people about her music, I think her (along w/ Ryn) need to realize that once you release your music, you need to just let the music speak for itself. I'm not saying she can't clarify something discussed about one of her songs, but she needs to be more selective in what she addresses and specifically, how she addresses it. Coming off bitchy, rude, and ungrateful does not do her any good for her image. With an artist like her, whose fan base in entirely made up of people who frequent the internet, she may need to realize that anything she does do on the internet, her fans will be aware of it. If she continues with a hot & cold attitude, that could turn away potential future fans and turn off current fans.

I stopped listening after Wrong Victory. I'm not surprised though, Secondhand Rapture was okay, but all the songs sounded similar and she seemed mostly bored in all of them. Oh and by the way I enjoy reading your reviews on your website.

I really like Leave A Trace. I especially love it when she says "take care to leave a trace of a man." I'm excited for the new album, plus the album cover is beautiful.

People are more likely to comment on youtube videos when they have negative things to say, not positive. Of course, there are positive comments, but you're more likely to see negative ones. If you look at the likes, there's 67k+ likes as opposed to 1k+ dislikes on the video. More people like it than dislike it, even if it wasn't what they were expecting? However, I think she needs to release a more universally enjoyable song/single soon. (& hopefully the pre-order )

So I'm reading her twitter and I notice she has a tweet about how "Subtlety is key." along with "love watching someone take credit for someone else's work cause I know their skill will be tested one day + they'll look like a damn fool." What is she talking about? And I can't help but think she's being hypocritical since New Americana is definitely NOT subtle, (along with the rest of her music) and the whole taking credit thing is funny since her new Ghost mv is very reminiscent of Night Time My Time. I want to like her but to do so I think I need to avoid her twitter lol
