When is this chick going to give us information about new music??

I get to see them on the 10th of June.

Well in HDB she says "you turn my mood from black to blue" To me, I consider black to be a color that represents a mood worse than blue. Like, not depressed, but possibly suicidal (or something equivalent). Although blue is typically associated with feeling sad, in HDB I think she considers feeling blue a hell of a lot better than feeling black. I'm not much for crazy analyzing Lana's lyrics, but I think she was implying that even though Jimmy's ultra-violent swing and the way he treated her mean (making her feel blue), was a lot better than when she was feeling nothing at all (black) Does this make any sense?

I definitely think these are the weakest lyrics from the lyrics we have from Ultraviolence so far. Although I do like the I can hear sirens, sirens He hit me and it felt like a kiss I can hear violins, violins Give me all of that ultraviolence.

Does someone want to offer up a definition of cinematic so I don't suggest a song completely off the mark

I wasn't being serious. Lol obviously it's unreasonable to assume this will my least favorite song based off of a single listen. I am serious about it being a grower for me, though.

Either Shades of Cool is a grower or it is going to be my least favorite song on Ultraviolence

I was in the car with my sister the other day and she was flipping through the radio stations. She went to the big top 40, super mainstream station and "Forever" had just began playing on there. I literally almost flipped out. My sister hates any music considered even slightly alternative so I had to smack her hand away to hear the whole song. It was glorious. When the song ended though, the radio host said Forever was a new song. But hey, whatever.

I've been a casual listener/liker of Ellie Goulding, until recently. I bought her first album a couple days ago off of amazon and it is supposed to arrive at my house on Wednesday.

Resisting the urge to listen to the snippets. Not sure how this will turn out for me.

Does anybody know?
