    You have such narrow vision.

OK. Huge difference between "UV is an amazing quality piece of work! :)" and directly responding to someone who's pleasantly appreciating something they love w a "UV has no quality"

Like girl for real you've been so rude in this thread.

No one who's praising the album needs to be preached to because they're simply appreciating something they like. The problem was that someone was simply talking about an album they like and you made an ugly rude response to them basically saying it's trash, and then bitching at anyone who called you out by saying they're not letting you speak your mind. Yet you were the first person criticizing someone for giving THEIR opinion on UV.

I need this back in my life. I was watching the Born To Die video and its so epic, like its on the same scale as an actual film.

Image the Honeymoon era having TV promo and an actual slew of consistent singles with high budget videos

Imagine the Honeymoon era combining the high quality of UV's music with the beautiful visuals from BTD. It could really be something special.

Do you guys really think there'll be a title track? Honeymoon to me just sounds like a setting for the mood of the album. Then again I thought the same thing when Lana announced UV

I like the title tracks from BTD and UV but to me having a title track in each album just seems a bit boring. It just takes away the mystique of the title, at first you wonder why the record is called Honeymoon, is there some kind of running story regarding a relationship? Maybe the whole album will be Lana envisioning the marriage she and Barrie never had? But if there's just a song on the record called Honeymoon, then you almost feel like that's the only reason behind the record's title. It's like with Paradise, since there's no song on the record called paradise, the title feels more like a summary of the album in general (and that record is simply sublime so it's a fitting name)

I'm still not half sure what I'm saying but that's always how I've felt about title tracks, in case anyone cares.

Unpopular opinion.. Guns & Roses is actually pretty great. Everyone like detests it but it's REALLY not that bad at all. The chorus is repetitive and not as "big" as it probably could've been, but the verses and bridge are amazing. I especially love it when she hums in the beginning.

    Why???

before y'all come at me, but I think that OTTR will be a one-time event in Lana discography. I will eat my words if she suprises me. I have never ever heard a song like that. Such a rollercoaster-ride, at least that's how I explain this song to others. But I rather think that by the way how she described the writing process for this record, it ain't gonna happen, lyrically. And the song had this great production on it, it was insane.

If we get some uptempo's like Off To The Races Ill be so happy, that song is pure gold. Or even just one upbeat song like OTTR's, its a standout track.

It's so annoying how you act like you would know nay better than the rest of us. We all can just speculate but so far you have been putting down on all opinions which are not going with what you wish the album will end up. Big suprise: Even if you deny it as hard as Merier keeps failing her lipsyncs, in the end it will be Lana who decides how it sounds. She said it would be more "BTD/Paradise" like but this doesn't neccecarily means there will be hip hop beats. Could aswell mean that there will be less guitar and more strings again, or that there is heavy orchestration or that the whole vibe will be mor eromantic again and less bitter. Whatever, we don't know it, so stop acting as if you would sing on the album yourself.

I don't know if I'm wrong but those 9 songs she mentioned in Billboard interview were not produced by Mark Ronson. She played him those songs to him ( like mentioned in Grazia Interview before) and she is hoping he brings his jazz assignature to them. Right now they sound like the first two records because she probably worked with same producers.

So from the description we got now "very similar to the first two"to the final product might turn out to be really different because his production style isn't similar AT ALL to BTD/Paradise. Or even so he might not even be involved in this project anymore since she didn't mention him in this interview which is suspicious since she talked about their production.

I don't think she likes change.
she has had the same bodyguard, bandmembers, stylist etc. from the moment her management got them for her. I don't think she would go shopping for other contracts

@@Creyk Absolutely right. The music is the core soul of this entire vision, and the imagery that is created from the music is the structure. Mind (the amazing quality of music Lana puts out) over matter (all this bittersweet but necessary talk about Lana's position.) I really feel like us Lana fans needed to bring up the stanning situations, but it just doesn't seem fair to pit Lana up against those divas when she is obviously even more unique and refreshing. I need to make a post y'all about how fed up I got with little monsters on twitter and all only caring about sales and promo. Please everybody try not to blow Lana's lack of promo (she's still going to shine in the limelight) up to ARTPOP proportions---you will only become more disappointed. And also more distraught for almost no reason whatsoever. Lana knows her creations best and despite how much I want her to succeed in the midst of the pop culture "wars", can't we be certain that Lana's legacy will endure far longer than the hype of now? Cherish more than just the charts people. After all, the most inspiring people in Lana's life didn't slay 24/7 and stay up on the charts---they all needed artistic reevaluations to consistently give us fans the best art and the best music and the most sublime creations possible.

I meant a live performance in which I could hear her since the fans are usually so damn loud.
And the live studio recording was far superior and organic, IMO. Her vocals were so incredible on UV and proved that she wasn't a product of Pro Tools.

+ I also thinks she worries that another label/management might not treat her in the sane way that Interscope do. I know they're shitty @ promo and stuff, but I think she doesn't want to change in case another label is even worse.

(this will be a long post)

Ultraviolence may not have been full of hits but it was by no means an unlistenable album. She definitely surprised (and turned) a lot of detractors who dismissed her as a record-label android.

All of you guys whining about flop this, Ultraviolence shitty videos that, seem to have forgotten how rough Lana's start in this business was. She was accused of the worst things - being a fraud, being a liar, being untalented, and being a woman hater. And that's just the tip of the iceberg of what was said about her. She somehow managed to come out of that and answer those people with a brilliant album (it may not be for everyone, I understand this) that showed her versatility as a musician and her moxie, not allowing the thirsty tendencies of record labels cloud her vision. Ultraviolence did not put a dent in her career. It earned her some clout and we ALL know it.

I get that Lana has younger fans - I'm the same age as Lana so who knows what you'd consider me. But you guys quickly seem to forget what Lana has stood for since the beginning. And it was never high budget, #1 singles, coture dresses, or god forbid, doing things just so people could buy it. This is the same girl who made videos on iMovie for christ sakes. She's not Gaga or Taylor Swift, she's a creator. The girl makes her money where she needs to. The rest of the time she's making art the only way she knows how to do it, and that's why I love her. When she's given a budget - she's a fucking legend. But you're gonna have to get used to her not always being that. She's more rock n roll than she is pop - regardless of what the purists say.

So that's why the Mariah Carey dude's comments rub me the wrong way. it's like - why do you even like this woman? Worshipping Mariah Carey makes all the sense in the world given the things you say - but LANA?

Is it really going to be out in August tho? I know everybody here thinks: Lana says August, so it is early 2016.
But she is already talking so much about it and seems to have so many songs done already. And now the artwork.
It almost sounds like we could expect a single in March already

At first I was really confused, she is already making another album. Most songs are already done? UV era hasn't even started yet.

But now I think about it.

She had a really hard time with UV, it is a beautiful album, but really really heavy/dark. She wrote it when she was in a relationship that was draining her. (I love Barrie, but clearly he is a depressing person). And now she is in a new happy relationship.

I read or heard once that her muse isn't always there. And she had to learn herself or force herself to write even though she wasn't in the moment. I think that is what happened with UV. She wasn't in a good place. She still wrote a record. She was very happy with it. But having a break-up and looking back on it. She is just ready to move on.

And with 9 songs already done, I really think she found her muse back and i'm really looking forward to it.

    Oke, this went nowhere, whatever.
