^ I think Hope is as close as we're gonna get, for the foreseeable future. I can't imagine her spilling in any more detail than that. She seems to enjoy being cryptic, and I can't see it changing.

Are you referring to the first verse ("I heard one thing and now I'm hearing another")? I think she's referencing the previous line, "Do you want me or do you not?" as in, he can't make up his mind. I think Weeds is talking about the later verse, "I was one thing, but now I'm being another". Again, using the previous line as a clue ("Left the canyon, drove to the club") I think she means she is playing two roles. Imo, this is where this song ties in with Bartender, and it's the same relationship she was trying to hide from the public. In Bartender, she's hanging out in the canyon with the "ladies" and having tea parties and such - keeping up appearances. At night ("drove to the club" I guess), she sees her lover. It's almost an identity crisis for her, because this important part of her life is hidden. ETA: Possibly the same relationship is also the subject of How to Disappear. "John met me down on the boulevard Cry on his shoulder 'cause life is hard" I think "John" is possibly Chase. Chase used to drink (beer, specifically) before he met Lana and afaik he stopped drinking when he started dating her, or thereabouts. So that all ties in with Bartender, "crack another beer", etc. Also, "John" is commonly used as a default name for an anonymous male and he was not well-known and they both kept a low profile. If she'd used the name "Chase" in a song then we'd all know exactly who she meant, so she'd definitely use another name ...

Okay but I love how Paradise is summery version of the same cover. It makes me like the BTD cover more. For me, it goes Honeymoon > UV > LFL > Paradise > BTD > NFR My least favourite is easily NFR ... I still don't like that Jack Nicholson's grandson is seemingly randomly in it? Maybe I'm just completely missing the point of that cover, but it seems like such an awkward conglomeration of ideas. I really like the concept for LFL - it's cute - but I can't get past the poor execution.

She defs reads here; there are too many coincidences HI LANZ. MY DM'S ARE OPEN FOR YOSEMITE

They are goddamn LEMONS just you wait
-
FINALLY people are seeing sense lemons
-
Her hairdressers, presumably
-
In her IG post
-
Seriously, quarantine is wonderful, Lanz-wise. No church. No fillers. No awful boyfriend. Blonde. Lemons. We just need another crackheaded typewritten tweet, and the day is made
-
Lanz has voted for lemons, case closed!
-
She started it!

LEMONS. Those are LEMONS on the Violet cover, don't @ me
-
He never stopped liking her stuff so hopefully he's just being desperate and sad

Yes, but she seems very traditional (and to have an aversion to being single, as well). I doubt very much she'd want a baby without having a relationship with the father. I wonder what was so wrong with Chase; I mean the dude follows a page called "lovely alpacas" so surely he can't be that bad ...
-
Yes, definitely Sirens-ish. I think my imaginary WHF cover also isn't so zoomed ... it's kinda a cross between this and the West Coast cover, with something of interest in the background.
-
I think it belongs to Charlie; I saw it on his story a week or so ago.

Yeahhh, I think that's my issue with it, too. However, as I said earlier, at least one of her poems is about her mother, and maybe others are, too. Perhaps this is her way of easing into the subject, because it will inevitably come up when she releases her poetry.
-
I love that she's embracing her facial freckles now, instead of covering them up. They're so cute. Also, when I envision the cover for WHF (based on the crumbs we have), it's something like this, but more dramatic.
-
Honestly, all of this is messy as fuck, but I LOVE that bit because it's sooo her
-
Oh Lanz ...
-
So anyway, now she will either disappear for 5 months due to the (minor) backlash, OR overcompensate and drop the spoken word to distract everyone. Except at least one of her poems is about Patty, so hmmm
-
The former is fine, but it's a bit of a kick in the teeth to have your daughter (who has 16m followers) post something about your "replacement" on mother's day. There are far less spiteful ways to acknowledge Candace without shading Patty. As usual, I'm sure she just didn't think, but the whole thing looks terrible, imo.

Brah, that shit's cold af What did Patty DO
