Seriously. The fact that it has the least amount of streams in that list is, frankly, embarrassing. Lyrically, it's one of the more complex and personal songs on this album, and the piano doesn't sound like a Fisher-Price keyboard. The same cannot be said for some of the other songs. Who wants to fight? There's something wrong with them. Several things. Lots of things.

Just to clarify, I'm not talking about the style of production. I'm talking about technical faults. They are two entirely different things. Technical faults should not exist when we are talking about the work of a multi-million-dollar artist and producer. For example, I like LFL the least of all of her albums, but technically, the production was very good (or, at least, much better than NFR's). It was the style I didn't like.

I thought I might as well be really unpopular: I do not like that she's mentioned this new album the same day as she dropped NFR. It makes me very uneasy and I really wish it was all a lie. 1. She's definitely working with Jack again, so we can expect more of all of the stuff I just bitched about. 2. She seems almost manic, and of course it's her prerogative, but doing two albums back-to-back + touring + 341232 soundtracks seems like a really great way to burn out. 3. The title, "White Hot Forever" is quite alarming ... I don't even know what to think. I am scared of the unknown. 4. I am downright TERRIFIED of what she's writing about, given her current influences, which include Beverly Hills social climbers and Churchome.

There's going to be fightin', but I'm going to say it: Jack Antonoff simply isn't the genius that most of the people here think he is. I'm not saying he's untalented, and he's obvious good at playing a range of instruments, but imo, he tries to be ... pun intended ... Jack of all trades and as a result, I think the production of NFR suffered. There are some very obvious flaws. For example, the vocals in HTD increase in volume noticeably at 1:25 when the jingle bells come in, and that mic change in Cinnamon near the start. There's just a lot of "rookie error" type o' shit, yet these people get paid shitloads and they had plenty of time to fix all of this up. They definitely remastered VB and MAC between their release and the album release. It just seems sketchy as fuck to be remastering two tracks that are less than a year old. The fact that they found stuff they could improve in that amount of time tells me that they didn't do it properly the first time. You remaster 10 years later when the technology has improved; not 12 fucking months later. It screams "mess". I always got the impression that Lanz was very pedantic when it came to mixing and mastering, so I'm surprised she let this shit fly. Jack, I do not love this chord production

I think it's supposed to be uncomfortable, though. That's the whole reason it's there. I think it embodies her struggle with alcoholism ... it's a literal stutter, and people struggling with addiction generally "stutter" in the sense that they have relapses. It could also indicate that she's actually still drinking despite all of her attempts to stop (as drunk people stutter and slur). And as for the "ha ha ha haaa" ... to tie in with the above, again, I think that is an expression of sarcastic amusement because it will ALWAYS be a struggle and she knows she's deluding herself to think otherwise. It could also be her laughing at the fact that she has to play all of these games to hide her relationship/s from the paparazzi. Anyway, she said in her interviews yesterday that Bartender reflects her life right now, which I found interesting. I wonder if that's also why she moved to San Diego, so that she has some privacy and is away from the toxic LA culture.

Doin’ Time Music Video - OUT NOW
Rorman Nockwell replied to Say Yes to Heaven's topic in New Releases
I reckon this is why she favourited that Dru saves Gru from Laser Attack Despicable Me 3 video on YouTube, 'cos it features the giant character fucking shit up. I wish she had a laser in her forehead like he had, though. That would've been fun. -
The dude driving the truck - Steve Berman - is some high-up dude at Interscope I Googled and Eminem actually wrote a song about him. And Courtney replied to someone and said something about him not being helpful for "difficult women" ... it sounded like she was suggesting that sis was a difficult woman. It's all very Courtney; confusing and vague, but idk if sis will be super impressed with her blowing up her insta comments like that.

Right? Is anyone else in shock? My brain has not caught up. I'm still blinking at the screen going ... "what the fuck ... I am actually shitposting in a thread about an upcoming album on NFR release day." Today, on Days of our Lanz: Sis dropped a DT mv Sis has an ice cream truck Courtney dragged sis in her insta comments over the driver of the ice cream truck Chase posted and then deleted a story of himself listening to DT Barrie posted a photo of himself at a piano, taken by sis Sis described her love life as "colourful" (see above) Sis moved to San Diego Sis is doing Alice in Wonderland shit Sis is having a pop-up surf shop SIS HAS A NEW FUCKING ALBUM Did I miss anything?

I have to agree; I feel like she's done NFR disservice by mentioning this. It's kind of a perfect storm: we all waited so long for NFR, and had so many snippets, and singles, that a lot of people are ... I'm not gonna say over it, but ready to move on to the next one as a result. So it's definitely going to shift the focus a bit. But I don't know if that ^ applies to the general public ... I mean we follow her every move, but we are in the minority.

Okay, I'm gonna speculate, and ofc I'm probably wrong, but whatever: She's followed a few country musicians on insta lately, and she's still got "Hey Blue Baby" and that other song up her sleeve, so I wouldn't be surprised if this album is country-ish. I'm not gonna say I'd be super thrilled about it, but eh.
