Fantasy said news on Thursday. If the "news" is anything other than a song or an actual release date for the album or book ... kms -
I love how she does an interview and instead of clearing anything up it just creates more confusion. She really is one-of-a-kind.
-
Make us proud! Hahaha. You'll have a great time, though, no matter what she sings
-
Scream at her to sing unreleased shit, like those people at Buku. That video was priceless; she looked so confused lol The look when she realises that that person is yelling, "Cinnamon" makes me LMAO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41sX5nQIEmk

But I'm pretty sure Florence was really clear about the release dates, iirc, and she also didn't release songs/announce an album and then say nothing about it for the next seven months and counting. She also staggered her pre-release songs quite evenly. Lana gave us two in a week and then nothing for four months. Lana's fanbase is definitely more ... intense, but the way Lana is orchestrating this isn't helping. If it's really annoying, then she should just turn off all of her comments. I'm surprised she hasn't, actually, because there is fuck all meaningful content.

I can't imagine Lana saying anything too substantial about her own work on Thursday, because I feel like she'd feel it'd overshadow Marina's release on Friday. But really, who knows what that bitch is thinking. Everything, whatever. @Fantasy, I'll fight you if you're making stuff up. I definitely don’t feel like there’s a plan. Or that there needs to be, which is kind of fun. -
Wait, does anyone else remember her saying that she named the album "Norman Fucking Rockwell" because it was her favourite track? And now her favourite tracks are VB, MAC and Hope. Where's that "lies" thread ...

I see your point, but I don't see that indulging in an Instagram baddie lifestyle is "bringing it back down to earth", personally. Seems quite the opposite. But whatever, because nothing she says/does ever makes any sense.

"It takes a lot for me to keep my feet on the ground and left to my own devices, I would just be working out melodies or sitting at home, contemplating the reality of things." She says that as if it's a bad thing to be doing. "So I like to bring everything back down to earth, go to the gym, all that stuff."

I mean, at least she talked about the album in that interview, so we know it still exists but I still feel traumatised -

I honestly think the poetry book is done; it looked like it was bound in those last scans she posted. That's if she's even releasing an actual book ... in the Elle interview she said she might do an audio book which I wouldn't mind. Whatever, just ... https://youtu.be/0vMUs4iTSqI?t=107 -

Lana: "I don't have a plan for the album. Also, I might release the poetry book in the next six months or so. BRB Cha Cha Matcha." The fandom: all you have to do is change everything All you have to do is change everything all you have to do is change everything -

Right, but my point is that the answers she gives just show how Hollywood she is. And I get it, because she lives in Hollywood and has for the better part of the last 10 years, so I don't know why people are acting like she was some really grounded, daisy-chain-making, hessian-satchel-toting hippie before she met skirtsandsuits and co. -

We keep coming back to the friends, so let me rant (again) about the friends. You're welcome. First of all, people keep saying, "oh we know nothing about them." Not true. They all have social media accounts which are publicly accessible, and it's very clear from those what type of people they are. That tall blonde one turns the camera onto Lana every single time she's videoing. I don't think that that's a coincidence. Am I saying that they're bad people? No, but one can ascertain things from what they post. You don't have to be a genius to work out that a lot of it is carefully crafted to create an image. That's how some people choose to use social media, and that's their choice, but it makes me wonder if being friends with Lana is, at least partially, part of that carefully crafted image. I hope not. Lana is obviously very familiar with using social media for professional purposes, but the Instagram baddie resolution was a resolution to essentially use social media to be fake from a personal standpoint. You can see the obvious correlation to her friends there. Second of all, almost everyone seems to be assuming that Lana has changed - but has she? I mean, as I've said before, she's friends with Courtney. She is (or was - idk about now because of the Kanye IG comment) tight with the Kardashians. One of her current friends was their rep, we know she is/was friends with Kim, and last year she interviewed Kendall and said that Kris Jenner is very grounded. 'K, Lana. That interview a few pages back, she went on and on about that Alessandro guy, and she's done that in almost every single interview in the past 6 months. Am I saying that Courtney, Kim, Alessandro, etc are bad people? No. But Lana does subscribe to the celebrity lifestyle and she has for a long time. I mean, if you think the Kardashians are grounded ... I don't think I had a point; I just thought I'd kill 20 minutes by ranting. -

And every song that I'vvvvvve ever heard. Is playin' at the same time, it's absurd. (Actually, the backlash that Arcade Fire got with the "Everything Now" corporation thing reminds me of this ... people were fucking livid) -

"Oh my god, my resolution is going so well. So much better than I thought. I was like partially kidding, but not really. Yeah, it’s actually going excellently. I’ve been working out every morning at 10am. That was one of my lame little resolutions. Seeing my girlfriends a lot more, cooking in an Instant Pot. Everything’s great, it’s going swimmingly." "I’m hoping that [the poetry book comes out] in the next six months or so." This interview was in early March. Brb necking myself -

I don't mind waiting at all, but I do think that the way that it's all been handled is rubbish. I don't even need a date, but some sort of acknowledgement about the album would be welcomed. The fact that she said it'd be released at the top of the year + the Google March 29 means that many of us had expectations that it would be released then. Neither she, nor anyone associated with her, dismissed the March 29 date ... all that had to be said, really, was "it's not March 29. We don't know when it'll be yet." Is that so difficult? Because I don't think it is. She built it up by releasing MAC, VB and Hope, and she said it'd be out at the top of the year. That's all she's said. Tweeting that you don't know when it'll be released on an old Twitter account that most people don't even know exists does not count. It's been purposely orchestrated to keep everyone guessing, and I find that unprofessional, personally. It's OK to say you don't know when it'll be out - but fucking say it. Other artists post shit like, "my song/album will be out on [date]" all the time. I can't think of a single other artist that I like who would handle an upcoming album release in this manner. Maybe she thinks it's endearing. It's clear that everyone else thinks otherwise. So as I said, it's more how it's been handled, rather than the lack of a date or having to wait. ETA: and frankly, if her managers haven't privately roasted her for the way she is handling this, then they are bad managers. -

Some of us are contributing to this loss of dignity more so than others. I feel like I'm doing more than my fair share. I just saw that "ALBUM COMING SOON" was trending on Twitter and Bieber told the audience that during Ariana's Coachella set. I wonder if he'll release three songs, have a false release date, and not tell anyone anything for 7 months? Oh, and is he an Instagram baddie? -
This week it's Shades of Cool. That song is a fucking masterpiece.
