I didn't hear it until about a year ago. I always thought the lyric was "we could go back 'til it's dark" lol

Manifesting that this is Lana's Del Norte County Marilyn era So loosely like the BTD aesthetic but more wood-sy and beachy
-
I feel the same way. I think that BTD is Lana's most upbeat and classically fun (in terms of pop) album, but I remember seeing articles constantly about how her music was so depressing. It really doesn't feel that way anymore and I guess depending on what someone regularly listened to in 2012, it might not have back then
-
The only Lana songs where I truly believe the demos are better than the original are Lolita and Lust For Life For other artists though, as much as I love the Extraordinary Machine (Fiona Apple) that was released, the Jon Brion produced version of it is fucking incredible. I've been listening to a lot of Nirvana demos lately as well and I really love them

Who would make the best husband for Lana?
Super Movie replied to Lana and clay are no long's topic in Lana Thoughts
I'm glad this thread wasn't made in 2012 because all of the replies would've been Kurt Cobain or Elvis (or Blake probably lol) -
I'm hoping she'll do another livestream like she did on Blue Banisters release day tbh. That was a really good idea and although she didn't talk a lot about the album, the insight we did get was fun and I'd love to have her do another
-
Except for Chemtrails and Blue Banisters, Lana's titles (released under LDR) have always been 1 word or 3 words, so I'm predicting 3

Emile commented on the post It most likely means nothing because they're literally friends but I'm moving anyways

I think it's that Jack guy, actually Also I didn't even notice there was another person in the picture until you pointed it out lol

she's a server, she serves for a living, her job is to serve, and that's why she's serving constantly. serving us top quality serves as she serves us, cause that's what she does as she is a server.

We're getting a San Francisco Del Norte County bop album
-
That's 100% Fiona's cover of Across The Universe in Jen's second story Glad to know Lana is friends with people who have taste
-
San Fran era incoming
-
It actually does sound like her to me, but it's pretty common for us to hear someone singing and think it's Lana, only for it to turn out to be someone else

The Collective Celebrity/ Celebrity Talk Thread
Super Movie replied to Make me your Dream Life's topic in Movies & Television
The closest I've ever come to a celebrity encounter is when my mom was working at a country music festival in 2008 and quite literally ran into Taylor Swift while carrying a bunch of boxes lol -
The Collective Celebrity/ Celebrity Talk Thread

The TikTokification of the music industry has its pros and cons for sure, but I think that it's biggest issue is how heavily it's pushed artists to create quick, stupid singles that are made purely for sales and TikTok clout rather than because they actually want to make the music. I feel like it kind of takes away the whole point of music if you're just doing it for your 30 seconds of fame on an app -

I'm the only person around me irl with any knowledge of pop culture so this is a thread I can appreciate I once mentioned Drew Barrymore in front of a friend and they said "who's that?"...when I tell you my jaw dropped -
I was listening to this in the car today (along with the rest of AKA)

Happy first birthday, Chemtrails! Such an incredible album that's gotten paid absolute dust. It's so soft and atmospheric, and it really does feel like a story album. Somehow, despite only being a year old, I find Chemtrails to be a nostalgic album for me. My top three has of right now would be Yosemite, Chemtrails and Dark But Just A Game, with White Dress and Dance Til We Die following in 4th and 5th. I just love this album so much

Jack Antonoff has been Mike Dean this whole time, he just wears a disguise so we won't know it's him

As both a Chemtrails and Blue Banisters enjoyer, I feel kind of caught in the middle of this debate. On one hand, the piano on Blue Banisters sounds so much more alive than it does on Chemtrails (and NFR at certain points). On the other, I prefer Chemtrails on a personal level and think that it has a lot to offer. All I know is that I really want Jack to try out some more jazzy and/or Venice Bitch-esque stuff with Lana Also, I hope Lana brings Dan Heath back again like she did for the Chemtrails title track
