  1. Lana's gonna be 85 and still signing Blue Banisters CDS
  2. She posted a picture of more signed CDS with the caption "Switching sigs". I have no idea if she knows about the listening party
  3. I'm having fun spotting all of you in the chat! It's like Where's Waldo: Lanaboards Edition
  4. Lana when she finds out that Polydor is doing this
  5. So yesterday it was "Lana's flopping and obviously nobody likes this album because nobody is streaming it", but now that they're having people stream it, it's an issue? Make up your mind
  6. So update: Lana isn't there, but the Team Lana account is
  7. Just a note: a thread was made for the listening party if anyone wants more info I actually think this is a really cute idea, even cuter if Lana's gonna be there! It'll be like our release night celebrations but expanded
  8. I like the journal entry type lyrics, but for me, I think that that's because I relate to them a lot more than I do her previous works at this current point in my life. From BTD-LFL, I can't say I ever felt like Lana's lyrics were relatable to me despite the fact that I think those albums have some of her best lyrics. But, of course, relatability isn't what makes lyrics good. It's just that in my experience, I feel a lot more of an inner connection to Lana's recent lyrics than I have in the past. I can see why someone wouldn't be a fan, though. A lot of the time it's very straightforward and can be kind of heavy to listen to at times with how vulnerable some of her lyrics have been lately.
  9. I actually love the standard Honeymoon album cover. i think if I had to rank Lana's album covers, it would be: 1. NFR 2. Blue Banisters (all of them lol) 3. Born To Die 4. Lust for Life 5. Honeymoon (standard) 6. Honeymoon (alternate) 7. Chemtrails (alternate) 8. Ultraviolence 9. Paradise 10. Ultraviolence (alternate) 11. NFR (alternate) 12. Chemtrails (standard)
  10. What I've learned about Fantano throughout the years is that he hates fun So yeah, I couldn't give less of a shit about what he thinks
  11. People would tear AKA apart if it got re-released 100%. Especially songs like QOTGS, Brite Lites, PMIAM and Smarty. The only tracks I can see the GP liking are Pawn Shop Blues and Kill Kill. I would say Yayo, but I've seen Lana get shit for that song in the past about it being too "submissive". But anyways, in terms of Blue Banisters, I have noticed that there's such a different between people who already knew the songs listening to the unreleased tracks on the album and the people who didn't. I mean, obviously there would be, but that difference is a lot more obvious than I had expected.
  12. In regards to Sean, I think that that was just the first time in a long time she'd felt like she found the one for her, so it can be hard to move past not only the person, but the fact that those plans you made for your life aren't coming to fruition. I've been in that boat so many times in every kind of relationship, even with friends and family I thought I was going to be close to forever. It sucks. If Blue Banisters is about Sean (which I personally think it is), she literally says "said he'd fix my weather vane, give me children take away my pain" about him which is really sad. I feel for Lana a lot.

    Song vs. Song

Dark But Just A Game vs Yosemite
  14. I know we're not getting a tour for this album, but I'm bored so I decided to make what would be my dream setlist if we were to get one for this album. I limited it to 18 songs (excluding the intro) and tried to put a bigger focus on the last few albums rather than BTD and LFL: Intro - The Trio 1. If You Lie Down With Me 2. Dark But Just A Game 3. Mariners Apartment Complex 4. Terrance Loves You 5. Violets for Roses 6. Black Bathing Suit 7. Dealer 8. Black Beauty 9. Tulsa Jesus Freak 10. Cherry 11. Cinnamon Girl 12. Thunder 12. Video Games (on the swing) 13. Cherry Blossom (on the swing) 14. Yosemite 15. California 16. Chemtrails Over The Country Club 17. Get Free 18. Wildflower Wildfire And then I can see her throwing in an unreleased song every once in a while, but not Serial Killer .
  15. We need a part two Leakers, get your swords (files) out!
  16. Me waiting for the white vinyl to restock
  17. Is this sales/streaming argument still not over yet? It's been hours at this point Get over it. Once again, listening to Lana (or any artist for that matter) should be about enjoying the music, not her sales record. If you want to complain about Lana's sales, then boo-fucking-hoo. What else is there to say about it anymore?
  18. I somewhat agree here I think that one of the pictures taken on the beach should've been used for the AKA cover, but if they were going to use a bomber jacket wall picture no matter what, it should've been this one. However, the actual AKA cover is kind of iconic at this point regardless of how I feel about it, so I'll always use it
  19. It's weird, but I actually still remember where I was when Nectar and Cherry Blossom originally leaked. I was sitting in the backseat of a car while waiting for the person I was with at a gas station. It was kind of surreal, but that moment really sticks out in my head. I also remember The Good Life being somewhat of a big deal when that finally leaked.
  20. Unidentified Flying Bill and On & On leaking on the same day was pretty crazy. So was the day that Life Is Beautiful, I Talk To Jesus and the God Knows I Tried demo leaked. Oh, and when Freak Like Me leaked and we realized that there were actually Honeymoon demos out there... But I remember my first leak (BAR) being really special too, but that might have just been because it was my first one that I witnessed and it was on my birthday that year.
  21. Personally, I'm here for it I'm kind of biting my tongue on that one too
  22. I think the lesson we can all learn here is that some people need to get a hobby that isn't obsessing over an artist and their numbers I just find it so baffling that people care more about proving that an album is bad by pulling out streams than, I don't know, listening to the music you actually do like??
  23. Actually, that wasn't me who said that I've literally never interacted with you before this moment. I just don't see the point in trying to show that your opinion on the album is a fact when it's really not - nobodies is.
