Hm. I think you are kind of right. I also don't think it's "just" about the end of a relationship, like a general break-up. The "I lost myself when i lost you" sounds like it's really a heavy loss and the bridge, which seems like she tries to "reach" someone who's lost, like the ground control is trying to reach Major Tom. Another hearbreaking part is "I don't matter to anyone", like she would have lost the only person who really mattered to herself and who helped her getting over problems with other people/feeling lonely. BUT I don't think it's a seperation because the other person died. The "you are who you are" and "I won't change you" parts wouldn't make sense in this case. If we assume Terrence is really supposed to be influenced by Terry Bowie, could this mean the person in the song lost someone to a mental illness? This would explain why you have to deal with the fact that you maybe can't change the person back to who he/she was before and why you would try to "reach" them like you try to reach someone who's far away. Still getting trashed when she hears his tunes would mean she remembers him like he was before, doing things he did before the illness. This would make the title"Terrence Loves You" seem even more heartbreaking, since it would be kind of something someone says to a relative/partner of a mentally ill person. "He's not the way he was, but he still loves you!" BTW I love how the song, even though it has some really sad lyrics, doesn't actually sound like a dramatic sad song and has these jazzy saxophone-lines and guitar-strings.

No matter what it was supposed to look like, it looked bad af. -
Castle is a great intro and I like the bitter undertone. Hold Me Down isn't really a song I ever liked and I still think it's one of her weaker ones. New Americana is a cool song, a little bit overproduced at some parts but still a standout. Drive is .. ok. It has some nice moments like her vocals and the guitar but it's a bit ... messy aswell. Hurricane keeps it's place as an awesome song (I think her Room 93 EP was a very strong one) Roman Holiday is a sweet song, maybe single material but I don't like it too much as a stand-alone-song. Ghost is still my favourite Halsey song. I don't actually know how to feel about Colors ... Still have to figure out if I like it or if I just think of it as "ok". Part 2 is a very nice interlude, it's actually a shame she didn't do a full song with this vibe. I don't like her vocal style in Strange Love, at least not during the verses. The chorus of the song is pretty nice though. Coming Down is a pretty good song, I like the calm yet somehow "simmering" instrumental and her vocals. Haunting is .. well, a "solid" Halsey song. It's nice and maybe it will grow on me more with time. Gasoline is a fun song, not too spectacular but definitly good and i don't get why it's not on the standard version. Control is my favourite new song. I feel about Young God in a similar way like I feel about Haunting. It's a "typical" Halsey song, nice but not too overwhelming. I Walk The Line is a great album outro and I actually wish it would be longer. I love her "exhausted" vocals and the drums during the chorus.

I guess the next promo single will come out one week before the album. I doubt she'll release another one after TLY. I could imagine it being a song from the first part of the album or at least a part on the album which comes before Burnt Norton. -
Where do they "come from"? Bonus tracks?
-
The album is quite nice. Not too original and not too diversive but nice to listen to. Ghost, Hurricane and New Americana still are highlights of the album. I also really like Control, it's having such a nice sound and the lyrics are ok aswell. The rest is composed of "nice" songs and some that are ok to listen to, but actualyl quite forgetable as stand-alone-songs. Her voice is really nice, though.

Which quality does this leak have btw?

Even though I doubt they are real, I'd actually like a sound similar to the ones the snippets hint. -
Control sounds pretty decent.

So you're not planning to share it? Then gtfo and don't bother to brag with "reviews". I hate show offs like you. If you don't want to share it, that's ok but don't even try to pass off the "I'll review it for you" as something you are doing for any other reason than bragging.

Can someone link me to the Cover art outtakes?

She said Ultraviolence would be jazz.. She said I Can Fly has "a big chorus". And neither Honeymoon, nor Terrence Loves You nor Hgh By The Beach were noir or actually jazz. Of course I'm not expecting "California Girls", but something "upbeat" judged by Lana-standards. The whole "sunny" visuals would be nice if we had something upbeat. And Like I said with MTWBT, something which may not be a fast track with beats, but some kind of summery, positive song (like Music To Watch Girls By) would be cool. -

I hope it'll be that way. Like, saxophones, beachy-feelings, some kind of summery lounge music ... Would be great. I hope we'll get some upbeat songs though, the whole promo art doesn't really fit an album full of tracks like HM and TLY in my opinion -
Lana featured on The Weeknd's new album
Thunder Revenant replied to naachoboy's topic in New Releases
Lana's parts are actually quite good. The rest is generic af and I don't like his voice -
The high pitched noises sound like static noises from a microphone .... maybe it's because of the way the song was recorded? I don't think Terrenc eis a love interest of her or that he as a person is supposed to be adressed/talking himself through the lyrics.

Can someone recap which lyric samples we've got and what she said about freak and GNIT -
So, no Itunes exclusive tracks, no Target exclusive tracks and no regional bonus tracks this time. Actually, this is nice, since it means we can get a "full" version of the album physically. Not being abel to have a 9-track Paradise CD and a 16 track UV CD is still kind of sad. The only bad thing about this is we won't get Life Is Beautiful ;(
-
I agreee with you, it's nice that we'll be able to buy a COMPLETE physical album this time, like with Born To Die's Deluxe version. It always cracked me up there was no physical 9 track Paradise and 16 track Ultraviolence. The only sad thing is that this means we'll most likely never get Life Is Beautiful. _______ I'll never understand why the BtD cover gets so much praise. I mean, it's grown on all of us and now it's iconic, but in the end it's not a very good picture. The angle, the way she looks ... nah. And I don't get where the hate for the HM cover is coming from. Like, y'all are always so overdramatic.

Honeymoon Hotline Featuring "Burnt Norton" and Weekly Lectures

Can someone ... record Burnt Norton domehow? -
I like the Honeymoon album cover. maybe it would be better if it would be a little bit more cropped and without the font on the bus. but I think the Urban Outfiters cover for HM looks weird. The angle is so strange and the way the fon is put on it is extremely boring.

Not realyl a big fan of TLY. Maybe it'll grow on me, but so far it's inferior to both Honeymoon and High By The Beach. Neither the lyrics, the song concept nor her vocal delivery are really that interesting for me. HOWEVER I lvoe the vibe the songs have so far. -

Hm ... Let me consider the track names first. "Religion" and "God Knows I Tried" sound awful, I don't want spiritual songs on there. But hey, maybe GKIT will be somewhat similar to Tired Of Singing The Blues and Religion coukd be a quite dark song which lyrics ar enot actualyl related to religion, but use religious metaphors(like National Anthem) "24" and "The Blackest Day" sound like your regular pop songs. "Art Decor" and "Freak" sound like Gaga songs, but they could have a lot of potential. "Salvatore" sounds like a song with a vibe of italian Gangster movies but it could also be corny as hell. I'm very happy "Music TO Wtach Boys To" and "Swan Song" are actually existing as song names. I REALLY hope we'll get Life Is Beautiful as a Target/deluxe/Itunes track though .... -
So the leak thing was definitly fake?

The billboard pic is pretty good, I don't get your problem. Besides, I'd RATHER have the UV billboard being the cover of UV than the actual one, even though it grew on me.
