Just coming to this thread to vindicate again this album as her most profound and touching one and as my personal favourite by her. Truly hope time will behave as it should regarding this inmensely beautiful record.

Gave in and went to listen to Fingertips. The files' audio isnt working though. Guess this is divine justice or something.

Whole album? What?

Last night I dreamt I listened to it and it sounded like Venice Bitch with Thunder/Tunnel motifs added (the mellow orchestra, the choirs, etc.). Was actually beautiful.

Wow. I respect everyone's choices, but wouldnt ruin my experience with the album by listening half the songs or so out of context a month before. NFR rollout was terrible but at least we got that lesson from it.

More a thought on her post-NFR stuff than about the new album itself, but as it comes from listening to A&W, gonna post it here anyway. I remember not being (still on that train actually) a big fan of NFR due its production, composition and cohesiveness issues. Nevertheless, listening to the multiple samples/motifs of it on COTCC (How to dissapear, The Greatest, Hope, etc.) felt great as it sounded like the music itself was being rethought and relaunched in new and matured formats. Felt the same listening to the older stuff being present on A&W -particularly NFR title track, but overall the whole piano/guitar textures that were already displayed on FIILY and DBJAG and set to their best expression yet on this new song- and got to think maybe I'm gonna end up genuinely loving what NFR meant as a whole even if for what its motifs ended up enabling later.
