Its actually one of my favourite ones from her last record(s). Absolutely love the production and the composition. The cringy lyrics are something Lana already does from time to time, so they dont really bother me either.

Grammy Awards 2024 - Lana Del Rey Nominated for 5 Awards
sjatib replied to Elle's topic in Awards & Nominations
Living for the fact that she cant be bothered to promote. That's the fair amount of attention awards and accolades deserve from artists actually, especially if they are already consolidated and dont objectively need them. -
For me it sounds a bit like bs to be honest, haha. There's no way a major label artist's team like hers ignores the way Grammys work. Like, no way. On the other hand, she already got nominated in 2014, 2016, 2018 and in 2020.

Think the same. OB is not my personal favourite one, but may be her most relevant record to date. In terms of how much all of what she represents as an artist is nitidly present. Hope sincerely that the academia will give it a more than deserved recognition. -

4 nominations! <3 Not that I give a single ounce of credibility to these awards, but so happy for her and her team! -
I get it's not the most respectful thing (to the people working on the organisation I mean) to not even acknowledge the prize, but it's just so, so funny the fact that she's literally the "Not now sweetie" meme regarding all the big industry stuff about her. Like, ye, in a weird way makes me respect her even more.

I know, I know! But I would have personally loved it

Its funny how much the perspectives diverge here, haha. I genuinely love the album but the cover art just doesnt do it for me. Glad that you enjoy it that much, though! Hahahaha Will get the doubtable honour I guess 😂

That first picture should have been OB cover actually. More interesting visually and more representative of how eclectic and diverse the record is.

The Beatles' last song 'Now And Then' is finally released
sjatib replied to The Missing Shade of Blue's topic in Music
Such a powerfully moving, beautiful track. Reminds me somehow of Pink Floyd's The Division Bell album. -
Not rest in 'piece' though ☠️

Blue Banisters - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll

Kinda breaks my heart the fact that there's not some bigger celebration regarding this record. Hope it will be more recognised in the times to come, though. -

Blue Banisters - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll

Can't believe it's been already two years. I have the feeling that I still haven't discovered everything this record has to bring, even if I know its undoubtedly her most profound, vulnerable and beautiful one. Happy birthday, Blue Banisters. And sincere thanks to Lana for opening up as much as creating such an authentic project required. -
I truly love Lana and Nikki's artistic interaction and I'm quite excited for this record, but your comment is one of the funniest things I've read in a while 😅

New Song “Suburban House” by Holly Macve feat. LDR - Out Now!
sjatib replied to That Venice Bitch's topic in New Releases
The harmony sounds quite simmilar to F.R.Davis' Words Dont Come Easy. Nice song! -
Ye, I think the same. The song is terrible (sorry to the ones who love it) and has nothing to do with what Lana does. I wouldn't discard that doing that collab could have been an exigence of her label in exchange for freedom/budget over other projects of her own. When she collabed in Dont Call Me Angel I thought there could be happening something similar as well.

The fact that she dedicates a whole enthusiastic post to a collab with a quite unknown artist but refused to say anything else about SOTB than "Hope you like the ❄️ song" or whatever she said on that comment makes me love her infinitely for some reason
