  1. Hey. To the ones saying NFR has already "topped UV and HM". I think the songs released aren't bad and bland as many expected, but they sound anyway quite experimental and embrionary in artistic terms. The production has nice elements to it, but isn't actually consistent. Her voice and her writing clearly aren't at her best. Go and relisten UV and HM, as I'm doing. It helps to not make a precipitate judgement on NFR based mostly on the drought that we have had gone through to get some new songs.
  2. Add to it the chorus of "I'm not the only one" by Sam Smith xd
  3. Ye, I'm on the same mindset concerning it... Quite more complex that TG. It's so interesting, so in the vein of VB. And I find it quite similar to Georgia, by Kevin Abstract (which he composed and produced with Antonoff inspired by VB). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBDt5AsLTYY

    Fuck It, I Love You

I'd be so happy if nobody sent me a link!
  5. Could someone not send me any link, please? mod note: user was warned for this post
  6. Don't know if you've seen already, but J.Antonoff confirmed on twitter both of the songs will be out at midnight!
  7. I don't find racist connotations in The Greatest. But, no place to doubt, talking about him in the song explicitly after the feud they had on Instagram (or her comment, better said, there was truly no feud), and being the lyrics on Hope the ones she chose ("shaking my ass was the only thing that's got this black narcissist of my back"), the whole topic is quite conflictive right now, and it's perfectly legit for people to be confused about it. As none of us are, I'm not inside Lana's head to know what she wanted or not to say, and I haven't seen clearly racist issues on her work till now, but she should have know that the critics on this topic would come (and I'm actually glad that people are fighting any potentially racist expression on art, even if that comes to Lana too).
  8. I'm not dissapointed, but can understand why you do. I'm sure it will have more sense on the context of the album. Just right before Bartender. It will kill us, the album as a whole. The Greatest may be a momentum, but it's quite simple in structural terms. It's very beautiful, and the lyrics are heartbreaking, as well as her vocal delivery (it fucking breaks me when she sings "I miss the music"). Miss Lana keeps evolving.
  9. Can someone send a link to the ones who doesn't have Google Play, please?
  10. This is too good... Would love to see what you can make with her other clownbulms!
  11. Thank you for that. I would have died at any other reference to a "party" one.
  12. Hey! Just thought nobody knew them after some days, so glad to find some fellow fan over here!
  13. Back to the good old days of this thread, when there was nothing but chances to get dissapointed. Kind of missing the funny frustrated vibe here these times!
  14. Is this speculation or are there any sources giving the info?
  15. Love everything about that "musical boners" expression
  16. I get what you mean. Specially the transition to the pre-chorus, and the use of the guitar on it. Reminds me a lot of the most delicate pieces done by John Frusciante, as Venice Bitch already did. This one -mix of the original Bowie's song in which Frusciante collaborated- is, i think, a good example of the echoes of his work on Lana's new sound. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8nuT1rDB7o
  17. I think it's pm, but not sure, now that you say. I've always been able to listen to the songs from 12pm onwards when she releases them in NZ.
  18. I thought the same when I saw it! It's starting to grow on me, actually. Quite a risky but funny too artwork choice. By the way... So, she's releasing a single from her album in an hour -NZ timeline- without even letting it be known on her social media?
