  1. Don't know how to quote both posts, but this one and the one you were answering to are absolutely The Greatest I've ever read here. There aren't words to say how much I'm laughing.
  2. Hey. Finally sucumbed and gave it a listen. The level of sadness in the album... She sounds like she is absolutely gone from this world, just looking at it through a blurry periscope. Don't know if I may be the only one getting this feeling towards it, but it may be -if not the- one of the saddest musical projects I've ever listened to. I'm even happy that she's been hanging out with her baddie friends for a year and taking some distance from the things that made her produce this heartbreaking and beautiful thing. I wasn't ready for this. And I'm willing to see what the media that has done fun of her "sadness" till now will have to say about NFR.
  3. I guess this is kind of a play with words, but you'll excuse my poor english, i don't get it
  4. Is the album enjoyable in the quality it's circulating? I mean, does it worth the thing to listen it? I'm troubled about that right now, as I haven't done it yet and fear to take the courage to go and listen and then wanting to kill myself if the quality is that awful.
  5. It reminds me a bit of Julia Jacklin and Sufjan Stevens... Very beautiful!
  6. Didn't know about this album till now, but being the first song named "Clowns", surely you'll be right! -Loving it, by the way-
  7. Sure there may be thousands of critics to be made against certain aspects of communist theory, and more concretely, against the de facto functioning of socialist countries. Sure we could even share many of them. Anyway, the level of propaganda and false facts that circulate against anything that contestates neoliberalism is absurd. Not saying you are on that stream -as I said, noticed you were joking-, but I tend to react anytime I see something that could end on that kind of reasoning. My excuses if you felt I overreacted or whatever, and also glad that you are keen on this topic too!
  8. Would be amazing if being a russian's son/daughter made you (I mean, anybody) aware of the dynamics there during soviets union time's. Glad to know that it's that way on your case!
  9. Not the second world power -first by some parameters- becoming that by doing things for free. Surely you were joking, but needed to be pointed xd
  10. Tell me it didn't happen, please. The situation was already horrible, but it leaking in hq just would take it to the next -and maybe the last?- level.

    Happiness is a Butterfly

Why is the NFR thread locked?
  12. Why do y'all want to listen to a phone recording of her new album... Nothing to be even enjoyed from such bad audio quality.
  13. So the album has officially leaked in full length.
  14. Ye, I get you, but I mean... The rollout for the album hasn't even started yet, really, as no official single has been released (legally), and the album is already leaked. The situation is devastating.
  15. So there's no way this is gonna stop right now. If someone has the casette by a mistake of delivery, imagine how many people could have gotten it already. This is horrible. Poor, poor Lana...
  16. Is there any proof that someone has the album? Anything but rumours, I mean? Maybe it hasn't leaked and people is just fooling... Let's hope it hasn't happened. Feeling so sorry for Lana right now, even if I'm still upset about the way she has behaved towards her fanbase last year.
  17. The difference I found when it comes to UV narratives is that it seemed to be quite theatrical too (it was her second album, so she was still on the top of the creating-her-persona process). The production was huge -not in a bad way or meaning overproduced, I mean that it created very crafted atmospheres, it had a very wide sound-, so the thing exploded and Lana was there playing so many different roles. But in this case, I think it's just Lana trying to get her pieces together. There's no trail of the opulency of her previous sound. t's just her accompanied by very minimalistic and delicate music. She sounds so, so vulnerable.
  18. I'm listening again all the songs we already have -including the last two leaked yesterday-. I'm getting a feeling that this may be her saddest record ever. FIILY is incredibly sad, and quite interesting because the chorus lyrics are upbeat and quite cheesy (the "fucking i love you part), so the music is. I think the weird synths on repeat along the song give it a quite dystopic and evasive feeling. It gives me a vibe such as the one DLMBM at the end of Honeymoon left me with: a huge aching hollowness inside. Quite similar to anxiety, actually. The others are nearly on the same level: Venice Bitch is quite similar to FIILY, but the dystopic feeling is taken many levels further, so the lenght of the song. Incredibly beautiful, but comes to be so sad in the context of what we've heard. No need to reference HIADT when talking about the feelings it may rise. Mariners may be the only optimistic one we've heard so far. TG is her pretending to quit from music. Bartender sounds sad as fuck. How to Dissapear made me cry since the first snippet was shared on her IG feed. Cinnamon Girl also has a feeling to it as the world was collapsing. Anyone else is getting this views on what we've seen from the album?
  19. Absolutely agree with you on the diversity of places where each one comes when receiving a concrete musical input, and Lana has a wide variety of things that make her music appealing to different people. And don't worry either, all okay!
  20. Hey! I Wrote the post trying not to sound pedantic and clearly failed at all at that. When I talk about relistening the albums was just kind of thinking aloud, as it was the process I'm doing to try to judge on a more "objective" way - there's not objective ways and I know, just my attempt- the material we are getting last weeks, even if I've listened to them thousands of times also. Either we can or not share a common view on her music, sorry if I sounded imperative, that wasn't actually my intention.
