OK now that I've had some time to digest, I'll say that while I love some songs on Lust For Life better than some songs on Ultraviolence (except of course the flawless and untouchable original West Coast), I feel Ultraviolence executes its concept more effectively than Lust For Life. Part of me still thinks of LFL as in 5 "pieces" that were all kind of put together in a collection. Not that it's an album competition, just wanted to throw out my opinion that no one asked for

My main ways of listening to music are using headphones or blasting it in my car. I'm off work tomorrow so I'm planning on listening to it first thing in the morning in bed with headphones on while I let it have its way with me a couple times. Then I'll do repeat listens on my nature drives. I first listened to Ultraviolence on one of these drives and it was heavenly, I think of it almost every time I listen to UV.
