Swan Song replied to SadGirlBadGirl's topic in 2015 Endless Summer Tour
Hey guys, last time I posted the board went down, but I figured I'd post my experience at the concert anyway. So, after debating over how I was going to camp out for Lana, I arrived at the Xfinity Center at 7am-ish. There were already a small crowd of people there, and I was marked 17th in line. It was expected to rain that day so I had an umbrella and rain gear, but luckily for me it never really rained that hard at all. I waited until about 4-5pm when the VIP Nation people came, and the regular GA pit people were separated from the VIP ticket holders. Because I had a silver VIP ticket, I stayed with the VIPs, and was bumped up to #8! I was beyond happy, and after getting my VIP merch, waiting to go inside, I had made it the front row of the pit!! When Lana came out, I was ready to die, she was so close! I had made her a card, and when she came down during one of her first trips I managed to hold it up and catch her notice, and she took my card! She didn't do much else during this time except sign and take gifts, but that was my main goal. She ended up coming down to the pit 3(!!) times, and 2/3 times were at my side! The 2nd time she came down, I got her to sign the lyric book I had bought at the merch table, and she told me she loved me. Overall, it was worth the wait. The concert was lovely, so much crowd interaction, and Lana seemed to get nervous at how loud and happy the crowd was to see her, she asked for a cigarette during the performance lmao (she also said we were the loudest yet, I don't know about that statement, but everyone sang along verrrrry loudly). I am beyond happy I got to meet her and to talk to her, even though I didn't get the coveted selfie, I wasn't exactly shoving my phone in her face. She got really into OTTR, and said she was thankful to the crowd for their support. Someone made her a Honeymoon sash and flower crown, but she didn't wear either of them ahah. The fans I met throughout the day were really nice, and the pit was actually quite relaxed then the previous venue I went to last year (House of Blues). It was pretty amazing. -

What time are you guys planning on arriving? I've never been to this venue before, so I don't really know what to expect. -

I'm going, also have a silver vip ticket. Yeah I just heard about the weather and I'm worried about it tbh :/ I'll be by myself though, so we'll see how it goes. -
I went to her show at the House of Blues in Boston, and the crowd was a lot crazier than I expected for Lana. There were a lot of people who claimed that they had been at the front of the pit and tried to work their way to it. There was one guy I remember that spent most of the concert sideways, inching closer to the front. When she stepped out on stage, there was pushing and shoving to get closer to her too. I mean if you have tickets for the pit, it's always a bit of a fight. I just bought a silver vip for the pit again so maybe I haven't learned my lesson yet

Yes, the main character in the novel is a pedophile and incredibly flawed, but this is never seen as acceptable (besides Humbert's desperate attempts to persuade the reader, and it works on some..). Nabokov is a beautiful writer, and the book is held in high regard because of his writing style and prose. The subject matter is definitely not for the faint of heart. It is uncomfortable and infuriating, and that is the point of the novel. It is certainly taboo, but it is so well written and developed that it is a shame to skip it.

Off To The Races vs Velvet Crowbar

I've always loved "Been trying hard not to get into trouble but I've got a war in my mind" from Ride. Also that whole bit in ITH "You're a hard man to love and I'm a hard woman to keep track of". BB is so lovely. What lyrics in particular were you thinking about choosing?

I agree. And I kind of see the Marina thing too now that you mention it. I don't know why though ?

Lana Considering a Re-Release of 'Ultraviolence'

As nice as that sounds I can't really see it happening. I mean the most I could see is Kill Kill and even that's asking for a lot tbh -

I just bought the magazine today and wow, what an article. They did paint her as a drama queen, and the usual questioning of her authenticity dominated most of what was researched about her. Things that I liked: - Called Francesco a "friend" - Ultraviolence is a really personal album, and that she made it for her. "I'm not selling the record, I'm signed to a label who's selling the record. I don't need to make any money. I really could care less. But I do care about making music" - Lana showing the program that she uses to make the homemade vids on her computer with its cracked screen

Yes! I love that bit in BB. I like the the way she sounds when she says "They judge me like a picture book/By the colors, like they forgot to read" too. That song in general is just

^^ Pretty sure it was a joke. The cover looks fantastic. It's just so weird knowing the mag's opinion of her.

She seemed really nervous. I wish she would sing some more tracks from UV though. Brooklyn Baby or Old Money live? Imagine. -
Is This Happiness or Flipside - your favorite bonus track?
Swan Song replied to Sebastian's topic in Lana Thoughts
So after listening to them both, I like Is This Happiness better. It's has that Lana ~feel~ for me, and it's gorgeous. I am a bit bored by Flipside. -
