Ew at nobody (me included ) mentioning Wild One I'd forgive the atrocity made to The Next Best American Record if she releases Wild One. Re-recorded would be nice though, but that song is too powerful and imo it's heavily underrated. Those of us who love it love it so much, but I rarely see it being mentioned

I don't know what y'all were into lol. jk I managed to keep me from listening to any single before the album so I could listen everything as a whole for the first time, and it was amazing. No it doesn't feel as experimental as SAWAYAMA but I don't mind at all? Anyways, I do like the album as a whole, "inconsistency" and all - to me it felt more like she explored several genres throughout and it kinda works. I don't actively dislike any song overall, there are some growers here and there. The track run Holy - Your Age - Imagining - Frankenstein is un-de-fea-ta-ble Favourite songs: HOLY (TIL YOU LET ME GO) [this one is contender for Favourite Rina Sawayama Song Ever], Hold the Girl, Your Age, Imagining and Frankenstein. Least favourite tracks: This Hell (lyrics corny af at times), To Be Alive (this one doesn't really feel as a closer tbh). It's true, the singles hit different when in the context of the album. A lot of replay value from my end tbh

Agreed! I have a feeling it will be considerably different from the version planned for October, either for the recent leaks or for a last minute dissatisfaction (likely on label's part). I wonder what will end up happening if this ultimately leaks in full because of the vinyls.

Apparently vinyls of the album have been circulating already... I can sense an imminent full good quality leak / rip from this Atlantic push the release date up to right now challenge

I think this was stated to, er, deviate attention from the leaks, maybe? There's no way in hell at least Sirens, Tunnel Vision, Needle & Thread, Fingers Crossed, Void, Garden and Dragon's Blood are not released I actually would be very happy if she chooses everything from the leaks but releases them in finished, properly polished form. Even if we've heard most of it, I think it's stronger than much of her released material. It does have potential Now fingers crossed.mp3 for her/her label not to scrap this damn album.

I'm probably the self-proclaimed #1 Motomami hater (and tbh I have never listened to any of her earlier material) but the way I can NOT get Despechá out of my head is insane. It's like incredibly catchy. Probably will give a listen to her other material - and then Motomami again Baby, no me llames

So I finally managed to listen to Atopos (and also found out Ovule is out so I listened as well) and I actually like them! They're way more dynamic than what I was expecting. Atopos remain my favourite out of the two. Can't wait for the album

At least Lana keeps sneaking previously-unreleased tracks in her albums essentially since NFR! (The Next Best American Record), which was followed by Chemtrails (Yosemite, Not All Who Wander Are Lost, Dark But Just a Game), and BB (Dealer, Thunder, Nectar of the Gods, Living Legend, Cherry Blossom, If You Lie Down with Me). Not the same as a full The Unreleased Collection comp but at least it's something. I would love if MARINA followed her albums with a small 4 to 6 track EP of outtakes from its parent album à la Carly. I mean, L+F literally has like 8 outtakes that are better crafted than many songs from the official release so that would've been a great idea. ADIAML had its re-release, at least ddd.
