The other day my friend was like "Remember when we used to just drive around aimlessly listening to Lana" and I flashbacked so hard to when Paradise came out and the weather was warm and I would always just want to drive listening to it, that was so long ago but god damn it was a good time

I feel like Cocc was a vanity project for Lana in the same way Honeymoon was, I’m not surprised she’s moved onto RCS already tbh. Cocc seems like something she needed to make it so she can play with ideas and try new things, especially making it during the pandemic so the situation was definitely unique and she’s experiencing something new now that she really needs to talk about — she always seems to announce her new albums the day something releases The photo she posted definitely seems like a cover for something, it’s so nicely edited and even tho it’s a phone selfie it’s honestly what I expect the feel for the album to be. Just this weird “polished rawness”, like it’s casually just a selfie but also glamorous af? It’s even a different quality than her magazine shots were, Does that make sense? BlueBanister is also a cute title and I’m expecting it to be a promo single (I’m team delulu apparently) I really hope she’s developing the weirdness she was playing with on Cocc and even if it is for the poetry book (why’d I even say that) I’m so excited to see the weird things she’s been making

I’m totally fine with Jack being a producer for RCS but after Lana saying she was annoyed that he wouldn’t push the songs to be weird on CoCC makes me uncomfortable Hopefully she scolded him and we get some super weird instrumentals and vocal plays with RCS because I need more weird WhiteDress vocals and abrupt DanceTillWeDie bridges all over RCS

Ultraviolence is such a beautiful album, it leaked when I was alone in NY on the subway to ConeyIsland (I swear to god it was a moment of pure universal synchronicity) and it sent me into such a depressed spiral I ended up sitting in my hotel room alone listening to PWYC on repeat. I don't even care how depressed I was because it was such a weirdly beautiful experience and then when FLIPSIDE came out it truly killed me.. That guitar and the soft heartbreaking vocals was so powerful it had me crying for days

I think they'd be on the SpeakNow re--release, I usually include them both in the SpeakNow era just because they were from 2011 and she performed them both during the SpeakNow Tour, whereas Red was out at the end of the 2012 so I would probably say SweeterThanFiction would be the Red soundtrack song inclusion? Either way as long as we get them I'm gonna be so hypeddddd, the sooner the better tbh I would love for her to carry over studio covers but I feel like she's just gonna stick to her own songs as opposed to covers. The dream would be for her to re-record covers of "Drops of Jupiter" and "Betty Davis Eyes"

So Fearless - Taylor’s Version is gonna include “Today Was a Fairytale” do we think Speak Now - Taylor’s Version will include “Safe and Sound” and “Eyes Open” because if so I WONT BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT

I’ve been slowly reading this and taking my time with it some of the poems hit so well and some I’m just happy to be privy to Lana’s streams of consciousness The book itself is actually made so beautifully The paper quality, the print texture, the poems with little scribbles and the final next to it, the binding and the quality of it all is stunning, the offness and imperfections of the type gah It’s such a beautifully made and considered book, the full bleed photo pages GAH You can tell it was truly a passion project for her and that she really cared about it I’m actually in the process of making a photo book called ~there’s a stranger in my house~ and the way she has made her book to ~feel~ a certain way is so inspiring. Inside it list’s who printed the book in Australia and I secretly wish I’ll be able to print with them Violet is honestly my favourite poem at the moment, I’m currently reading the one where she’s talking about the flying lessons — I’m so here for this I can’t wait to hear her read them when my vinyl arrives, i’m sure it’s gonna hit so different especially with the instrumentals behind it GAHHHHH
