ITS OUT IN AUS!!! YAYAYAYAYYAY NOW I DON'T FEEL BAD FOR TALKING ABOUT MY IMPRESSIONS I fucking love this album, it all feels very cohesive and she has some beautiful writing on this record. I always thought Lana would do a folky type of album, this definitely feels like that but with that usual LDR genre messup. A lot of the songs make me think of older albums, Bartender and California with UV, Love Song makes me think of Honeymoon, but it doesn't feel like she's going back to that type of sound but is instead building onto it. There's actually not a song on this that I dislike, I really like a lot of them, although I do wish she had more bridges and I wish some songs built up a bit more but I think they're beautiful anyway. I thought I would have more to say but I don't rn so I'll try do a track ranking of my feelings in this moment right now.. California The Greatest Cinnamon Girl Happiness is a Butterfly Bartender Norman Fucking Rockwell Venice Bitch Fuck It, I Love You Love Song How to Disappear Doin' Time Mariners Apartment Complex Hope Is A Dangerous Thing For A Woman Like Me To Have - But I have it The Next Best American Record Wow that was actually really hard, the only reason TNBAR is on the bottom was because back in 2017 I was obsesssssssed when the demo leaked and I listened to it so much so now I just don't play it as much, even tho it's different and I still like it -

Hopefully your's is shipped tomorrow! Honestly the sooner the better ahhahaa. The official cover is amazing too, I loveeeee it, the sky fading into paint and LA on fire in the background and Lana reaching out, it's such an iconic cover (I'll probably end up getting that vinyl as well and framing it too haha) but you should def do it too! I'm not really sure, I'll probably have to think about it more, but I have a theory that the imagery of the album was meant to just stay like the homemade videos, phone selfies, instabaddie shots because to me its always seemed this album was a very personal, current and reflective album of the time world she's experiencing. Does that make sense? I think the UO cover fits into the same aesthetic style of the snippet videos she would put out, or the random home video music videos and selfies, the music itself is quite folky for Lana, even the poetry book stuff all seemed to be interconnected. It was like she was just creating a literal reflection of her life atm. And I think that kinda fits the album, I've said this before but I heard someone describe the album as (not perfect quote so don't @ me) "NFR is a representation of living in a time where the personal choices you make don't have an impact on the greater cultural significance of the world right now" and thinking of that along with the aesthetic of her homemade videos and phone photo cover arts, the UO cover looks like it's meant to just be a representation of Lana and where she is in her world atm (which seems to be hanging out on walls in all black with her girl squad lol) Does any of this make sense? In my mind it makes sense but I could also just be crazy, someone else try make sense of this pls -
I know I'm super late to this but holy shit Ever since Scream Queens I have wanted a Summer Camp themed season and now FINALLY they're doing an 80's Horror Summer Camp Slasher season and I am so hyped and excited. Emma Roberts is beautiful. Cody Fern is beautiful. Everyone is beautiful and deserves an iconically brutal death or opening monologue. I had no idea what they could do after Apocalypse because it's such a big idea and was such a crossover event with Coven and MurderHouse characters, but I'm so happy they just went straight back into a specific theme like 80's slasher, I'm so ready. But also I wonder how it's gonna go, because I'm expecting RyanMurphy to still come out with some random twists and shocks, I'm excited

I hadn't been emailed so I checked the order status on UO with the tracking code and it said it wouldn't be shipped till the 5th -- but also I'm hoping that that's just not real and I'll get an email saying they're shipping it tomorrow I honestly just want it now because I am so in love with that cover (especially since finding out that it was apparently the OG cover but Lana's team(or label) didn't like it and so she had to change it to the cover we have now)(which I still like but I'm obsessed with this alt cover) and I think it'll be the first vinyl I actually frame on the wall -

The pink UO vinyl isn't shipping till Sept 5 hopefully it comes for my birthday! But also, hopefully it'll get here sooner than when I ordered my "Thank U, Next" vinyl from Ariana's store because that took soooo many months of fuckery to arrive. Her merchandiser is notoriously awful. -

omg tonight?! Where did this come from! I can't believe how fast this end rollout of everything has been. For so long since the start of last year we've been talking about snippets, performances, rumours and honestly I don't even know what else, it's all been a blur, but now suddenly the album is coming out (in 2 and half hours in Aus?!) what the fuck! What a ride, we did it motherfuckers, we survived -

I can’t remember where I saw it but I saw someone describe this album as “a portrait of living in a world where the choices you make ultimately make no change in the larger cultural significance of a world burning around us” and I love it ahaha, the world is crashing and the only thing I can do right now is listen to NFR and be sad about it all -
