Just make this the pre-pre/hype thread and make a fresh pre-release thread when the album is officially announced because I don’t spend enough time on here to spam, this is my first post in like a week making 2 posts backing up the mods and their decision is hardly spamming negativity

You’re right, it’s not deep, idk what there is to not agree on? It’s the rules and always has been, a pre-release thread is always kept new album related and off topic/spam posts are moved, it’s been like that every era idk why this era should be different/is causing an issue of course this thread is going to be negative it’s been a month since we got any kind of album news, this thread is destined to be negative until things pick up, and then everyone will come back and celebrate..but for those of us who aren’t logging on everyday, it’s nice to have a place (this thread) that is kept up to date with new information (whenever it comes) and not have to go through 300+ new replies of absolutely nothing its not like they care if threads are spammed and users have a good time, the UFB thread is proof and if a BB hype thread was created I’m sure it would be allowed to be spammed, but the official pre-release threads are more for info than anything

becuase we come to this thread, in particular, for news there are countless other threads that could be spammed, and if one doesn’t exist you can create it. Lack of news doesn’t mean spamming the information thread. Gif wars/off topic conversations/hype posts/endless fighting with each other (and mods) contribute nothing to the thread like I don’t get why it’s so hard to understand

a random Tuesday in December at like 3pm eastern time there’s no pattern to her announcement posts (both the true and false ones). The only thing that’s guaranteed is it’ll be random

Chemtrails was a bit of a mixed bag though..she is usually consistent with having a video drop and then the album not long after. (WC to UV, HBTB to HM, (Lust for Life and COTCC both had a longer wait) and FIILY/TG to NFR). yeah in America target has a new dark red vinyl!

So I got an email the other day about the ldr village preparing to get rid of merch, and target is releasing a new COTCC vinyl. this is EXACTLY what happened November of last year before the COTCC single and preorder was announced. I’m hopping on the Delulu train and say the rollout is about to start! single mid August/September album mid October/November

I’ll never forget when she gave out the lyrics during the Endless Summer tour, and then created the iconic honeymoon Instagram page I know it’s hard to tell with her, but the level of interest she had during this era was completely unmatched. I didn’t appreciated honeymoon when it came out (I never wanted her to stray from the sound she created with UV) but the narrative and sound of this record is completely unmatched. She definitely experimented the most with this record and it will forever be one of my favorites from her. It was a quick rollout, there was so much going on (promo singles, UO listening party, incredible incredible incredible visuals). Plus it has one of her all time best songs (The Blackest Day) My only complaint is Freak Like Me was changed to just Freak. The demo would have been a perfect bridge between UV and HM (plus the demo’s ‘marry me marry me’ bride is far superior, imo)

I really thought this was going to be our shortest pre-release ever now we’ve had two fake release dates, a ‘soonish’ release date for a single and a ‘later later/TBD’ date for the album

I don’t understand how Lana releases 3 stripped back ballads, teased a new piano heavy song, and everyone here is still convinced she’s going to go synthy hip-hop next.

it was for a shoot, but it got scrapped. She had her hair and makeup done by her team and Charlie recorded those visuals for TJF Hopefully she’s already got the photo shoot done with Neil. I can’t wait for more picture to surface from that

Unless it’s confirmed by Lana/someone in her team/reliable insider, don’t believe it it’s not coming august 1st

It’s really interesting they specifically mention it coming to digital soon when nobody else on Lana’s team has suggested that the only thing Lana said ‘soon’ about is the single (and even then, she said soonish) I can see physicals coming later, I’m sure they know Lana isn’t going to hit number 1, and with this being her second album this year maybe they don’t care if she goes the more lowkey route maybe she’ll pull a WD and release the single, video, and the album digitally with preorders for physicals

Hello everyone! I missed the meltdowns, but I’m back (and cooler than ever) the album cover is absolutely stunning, gorgeous, amazing. It really helps give the three releases singles a better feel than the car selfie. I love the new song snippet she posted because it’s super jazzy and I can’t wait for her to serve vocals. I can’t lie though, I was hoping more for a textbook sound, but I’m sure the full song will be a classic Lana serve

I completely agree @Terrence Loves Me I’m so sick of the “let Lana finish her album in peace :)” and fans who say “you are so entitled!! Let her work!!!” When Lana herself is the one who does this. She had absolutely no reason to announce the album the day after COTCC and she clearly realized June 1st wasn’t going to happen, so why she didn’t just say “sorry the album is taking a little longer than expected, I’ll update you when it’s finished” instead of announcing another date is beyond me. Like she can take as long as she wants, that’s not the issue. The issue is the constant fake dates with no follow through or after thought

we think Lana is lying about July 4th, but in reality everyone else is lying about it not coming

Let’s review the factz!! 1)BOZ said a week and a half ago “we may have avoided the delay” 2) when Ben went to Instagram he said “an album IS coming” 3) the album has yet to be announced as delayed by ANYONE. 4) There has been absolute and total silence from EVERYONE involved 5) mike responded to a fan saying he’d call Lana to remind her of the album 6) BOZ’s “there’s no way the album is coming out July 4th” was a red herring so when the album comes it’s a surprise release (like Lana always wanted) winning! We’re winning and we’re getting the album in less than 2 days

It is inch reaching how our timeline has been BOZ two weeks ago: we may have avoided a delay, the date hasn’t changed yet. BOZ last week: there is no way the album is coming July 4th Lana’s team had to have reached out to him and told him to stfu

even if it was a digital release with no prior warning, like the singles, someone would know by now and we’d have hints. Last we heard from insiders was “there’s no way the album is coming July 4th” but to play into team Delulu, even if she released the album now with preorders for physicals; she’d still make the same amount of money. Her fans are going to buy stuff regardless of when it actually comes out. It just depends on how much her team cares about first week numbers. It’s possible they won’t care as much since COTCC broke records physically but tanked streaming wise.

NFR was only delayed roughly 5 months, and even that’s a tricky one because she never gave a release date for the album. Magazines started announcing the album as being released in March, but ‘officially’ NFR was never delayed because the first date we got was August, and that’s when it came out COTCC was the first album that has publicly ever been delayed. (Unless you count UV since she said June, but even then it was always officially July) It sucks how we’re completely in the dark this time around. Unless they really are trying to surprise release the album in 2 days, but I highly doubt it. They’d have to work really hard to make sure absolutely no word got out, and with how much insiders rely on clout someone would spill something by now. Even when they came after eclipse over the triple single release he still posted about it
