According to her Violet post on July 8th, she's coming back from New Mexico and Utah in 2 ½ weeks so I wonder if we'll get news then (around August 7th maybe, about a month before the album?)

I've been thinking a lot about what we should expect from COCC lately (obviously) and with her recent controversial post I feel like she's going to go in a completely different direction from her past two albums. I know she said the album will be similar to NFR but that was one year ago and, even though NFR is my favorite album, I think it's pretty obvious she needs more than the acclaim from the critics she's been receiving lately. To me, it's almost like she's starting to regret her choices of being politically correct in LFL and of playing safe lyrically in NFR and now she's had enough. Remember in the Venice Bitch interview when she revealed the title of her new record was Norman Fucking Rockwell how she said she was feeling more playful creatively and taking things less seriously since she had started working with Jack? I feel like, two years later, she's coming full circle and starting to make art without compromises like she used to up until Honeymoon. And besides her boost of confidence, her and Jack seem to work really quickly together. The fact that she's giving us a whole new record and a spoken word album in a year is astounding. I don't think she would give us an album full of songs like Hope. I love Hope, it works very well as a closer imo, but an entire album like it would be underwhelming. I trust her on this front.

I just realized the album comes out in 100 days and for some reason that seems so soon. I'm even more excited now and I need to stop.

Do you guys think the album will have a title track? I know every LP has one so far but for some reason I instinctively thought Chemtrails Over the Country Club was more for the concept and the overall aesthetic than for a specific song or lyric?

She mentioned the two poetry books in which she would for sure discuss the topics from the post and then one album in which we could MAYBE find tinges of it as well so I'm thinking she's talking about LDR7. It also fits the 12-13 months she gave us. The only thing that worries me is september 5th being a saturday... I guess we'll see in a few months.

Just came back from my first listen of NFR! and now this? I have to laugh.

I love Lana and I love you guys! I'm keeping my first listen for my roadtrip tomorrow and I'm already shaking. In the meantime, enjoy the album for me.

Haven't listened to the album yet and you all seem so divided on which version of FIILY is better. Which one fits better with the rest of the album? I don't know what to do, I want my first listen to be magical.

Hi I'm new! I've been reading this thread since september and I'm so ready for this album. Can't wait to discuss with all of you in the post-release thread. So far I've only listened to MAC and Venice Bitch (don't know how I've done it honestly). For those who have listened to the leak, I'm curious to know if those two songs give a good idea of the sound of the whole project? Thanks!
