I can't believe she sang hope she sounded amazing, no backing track, the attention fully on her. I don't care if she messes up occasionally, this is what her performances should look and sound like imo. I also don't understand how some fans can actually scream during hope? it's a sad and depressing song, can't you just be quiet?

I'm reading this thread and just feeling so disappointed in her. Wtf is this california snippet? It doesn't even feel like she's singing the song, she's just speaking the lyrics. And imo there's absolutely NO excuse for forgetting the lyrics. It seems like she doesn't rehearse at all, just goes on stage and expects things to happen (hear fans screaming, make the least effort possible, point the mic to the audience and eventually run off stage)

I do believe she likes the song but she certainly doesn't try. I watched the performance of the song in this show, she skipped a prechorus and half of the chorus where the prerecorded vocals cover her up (started singing from the ''because I'm crazy'' part). It's one of my favourite songs too, but if she wants to do it live she has to make a better effort.

besides the heavy use of backing tracks and the mess of ottr (again), is anyone else annoyed that she doesn't sing the bridge of ride anymore? it's a new level of laziness - if she doesn't think she sounds good doing it live, maybe try to improve instead of scrapping it???

I love her but she's so full of contradictions also dead at the fact she thinks doing a week of interviews (instead of maybe a TV performance) means she promoted the album. And it shouldn't matter if the interviewers care about your mixing skills, we (your fans) support you and are the ones truly interested in the album making process...

omg I'd never listened to the demo thank you so much for this, it sounds really beautiful... why did she decide to ruin it? (she should have put it on honeymoon, it fits perfectly there)

tbh it'd be best to just leave it out of the setlist... it's a song that requires great breath control and she can't be bothered to try (I mean watch the first ever performance of the song in 2011 and compare it to now)

I cringed so hard watching the off to the races performance she refused to sing half the bridge and instead made weird moves and clapped her hands how she thinks this is ok is beyond me

I agree with everything you said. I also think she hangs around people who get plastic surgery all the time so she must be feeling pressure to keep up with her entourage. I just hope she doesn't turn into donnatella versace eventually (sorry for going a bit off topic)
