  1. Walz is so nervous like he’s a teen giving a presentation in front of the class my goodness.
  2. Sometimes I randomly chuckle thinking about this situation like…
  3. Yeah something stinks… also backgrid is known for being like paid paparazzi by pr allegedly. This could be her pr team just trying to distract from his trump narrative idk.
  4. Chile what vape is she smoking in that recent picture? I need to copy I fear.
  5. Y’all always want to close topics with actual interest and engagement… it’s getting weird! If you want to be a cupcake fan go to r/lanadelrey

    Ethel Cain

The only thing I’ll say is it feels a little irresponsible to suggest the song’s about Ethel if it actually isn’t. This isn’t a rumor confined to Lanaboards anymore, a tweet suggesting Lana made an Ethel Cain diss track has almost half a million impressions rn… so if it’s a joke joke’s over.
  7. I think QFTC and its backlash did more damage than we think. We know Lana’s online and even though she tries to act like she’s above all the criticism we know it gets to her. She’s a hypersensitive person, and if you read between the lines of her output post-QFTC you can tell she felt exiled from the culture. Iirc she said in QFTC her biggest critics were liberal women, so imagine trying for years to be understood by them only to be harshly critiqued time and time again (see Ann Powers’ NPR piece on NFR!, but also critics sabotaging her chances at award recognition, Kim Gordon telling her to k*** herself, etc.). I don’t think it’s a coincidence she left LA for the South and embraced a… let’s say southern mindset! Like you all say, she’s a white woman with very little to lose, why wouldn’t she embrace a world that is less critical and more accepting of the themes she discusses in her music? I totally get why some of you are upset though. But I disconnected from Lana the person post-mesh mask. I knew things were headed down a weird path after that.
  8. Look I’ve been a Lana fan since 2014 - something definitely shifted right after the NPR piece.
  9. Lately? Something’s been off since she lashed out at Ann Powers. I think she realized liberals aren’t so nice and welcoming of her and never looked back.
  10. Her wedding dress was so nice and the blue ribbon was so classy she never misses (well she does sometimes but she didn't here).
  11. I think y'all project your views onto Lana. We actually know very little about her political beliefs. What I do know is that she's kind to her fans of all races, genders, and sexualities, and I don't think that will change.
  12. People “over topics” on a forum dedicated to discussing topics please.
  13. Clocked her a bit. It’s interesting though, Trump’s presidency sort of exposed the misconception that America was a progressive nation when the South just didn’t have a voice for a long time. Lana has taken progressive stances, sure, but her music has dealt with a lot of regressive themes like the romanticization of an older, more conservative America and a yearning to perform traditional gender roles. I don’t think Lana’s racist or phobic of anyone, but ultimately a religious woman who believes in the idea of sinning, being saved, and God loving all of us. Take from that what you will. I do think it was lame af of her to criticize Kanye for endorsing Trump, but maybe she has apologized privately 🙂↕️🙂↕️
  14. Mm she follows *those* fans to play nice and ensure they don’t get angry or agitated.
