  1. " Come Together " - Beatles
  2. Like I said, it is a perfect record to add to her already amazing discograpphy ! I really like her unique musical style and singing. This record can be mixed with any other of her records and will fit in like a glove. Next record I am enthusiasticly waiting for is.... Alanis Morissette´s new album..... MAY 1, 2020
  3. Alright, Alright, if you guys say she slept with them, I will take your word for it, and those interview words too. It does not bother me one bit.
  4. I agree 100% ! She has soooo many cool songs and they are still considered "Demos" !?!?! I don´t understand it either. She really should polish these "demos" up and release them on a record. There is enough material for at least 8 to 10 new records ! Endless amounts of EP-Singles for everyone.
  5. Note -- When I write down "Idler´s Wheel" record, I actually mean the song track is played out in Fiona´s usual style of jazz-like drum beats, followed by her playing piano in her jazzy-style and singing. Any song on this new record could very well belong in any of her previous records. They fit so well into any of her past albums and that is good too. You can even mix ALL of her songs and you would not know it. She has not lost her touch in music writing and singing ! This is Fiona Apple at her most wonderful and that we have grown to love over the past years. Tidal (1996) When the Pawn... (1999) Extraordinary Machine (2005) The Idler Wheel... (2012) Fetch the Bolt Cutters (2020) This is my simple review as I go along listening to each track on this new album. It is dificult to describe each song , because on some tracks the melody and drumbeats just jump at you and then bounce all over the room . Sort of like a jazz-bee-bop song from the 1950s. Her voice has not changed over the years and I feel like I am listening to a young Fiona Apple. She introduces into some songs some singing acapella, sort of like what Bjork did with her record "Medulla". 01. I want you to love me = Beautiful slow-like piano melody, beautiful voice. In the same style as "Idler Wheel" Very cool start for an album. 02. Shameika = A little faster song but still in the style as "Idler Wheel". It has this Jazz-like piano drive throughout the song, very cool. It swirls around your head with sound melodies! 03. Fetch The Bolt Cutters = Another mellow song with an hypnotic drum beat and jazz-like qualities to the sound. I would also say its got a Bjork style sound to it. Very cool ! I like the dog barks coming in and out of the track. Time to release that dog !... Fetch The Bolt Cutters ! 04. Under The Table = Fiona is such a clever song-writer and singer. Love this song "I won´t shut up!", she tells you. Another piano song with some jazz-like drum beats. 05. Relay = An upbeat track. Very original and she sings it so well. Seems that there is only drums and bass on this track. Clever songwriting and lyrics on this one too. 06. Rack of His = A violin starts ... sounds like... a 1950s suspense film from Hitchcock or some Crime Noir. Cool drums on this track too. 07. Newspaper = I have to say it again, Fiona is such a clever songwriter and singer. This track seems to have just drum-beats. The background voices seem to sound like something you would hear in Bjorks Medulla record. 08. Ladies = Heavy bass and slow drums... a piano melody. Great tongue-twisting lyrics. Sounds like it would fit in well with all her other records. Very cool song. 09. Heavy Balloon = Cool song. She is a good screamer as well as a singer. 10. Cosmonauts = This song fits well into the "Idler´s Wheel" record. Groovy tune and story-telling. 11. For Her = She is doing a Bjork "Medulla" version here on this track. Hand-claps, double voices... triple-voices... singing her lyrics... Kick-drums. 12. Drumset = Jazzy drums, and an harp sound. "Idler´s Wheel" style and very cool song. 13. On I Go = Hard driven drum beats and singing.
  6. Someone already put it online for download Fiona Apple - Fetch The Bolt Cutters (2020) [320].zip 122.28 MB
  7. Just because she wrote and sang a song " I fucked my way to the Top ", DOES NOT mean she actually did it. Why do people always believe in these silly things ? Its silly. Stop it. Its just a song. Some people think Ozzy Ozbourne is the Devil just because he sings those Black Sabbath songs. He is actually a very calm guy.
  8. yeah, that record cover is giving me the creeps. So surreal and wacky At least she still has a cool sence of humour
  9. Yeah, that is a very surreal photo, but also interesting. The prince of 1970s "Copa-Cabana-Pop" , the Prince of "Death-Goth-Rock-Whatever-Shocks-You" and the Princess of "Americana Heart-break Anthems" These 3 people have got alot of knowledge and in common too. Most people think they are just idiots, but they are NOT. They chose their paths along success in musical history very wisely and with some very iconic song-writing too. Its all good entertainment. Thanks for your Post also ClampiGirl. Its very cool to hear these stories.
  10. " You Can Leave Your Hat On " - Joe Cocker (from the Film 9 1/2 Weeks)
  11. I enjoy traveling alot at the moment. The weather is great here, always sunny outside and resonably warm inside. Never rains. I am taking a short trip walk from my bed to the bathroom, later at noon-time, I am walking over to see The Kit-Chen (The Tour-Guide recomended to visit this museum piece called "a refrigerator"). My vacation book also suggests to visit this place called "The Living Room Space" and to sit on one of the famous art sculptures found there called "Sofa". The book also suggests to be entertainned by turning on this thing named Tele-Vision, by using a small remote controller and playing around with some buttons - until I am fully entertained. This is a great trip so far. Except for the locals living nearby here, they don´t speak my language. I have this dog which does not understand English. He just barks out some strange language all day, until I feed him. Then he just shuts up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Next guest.... What is your favorite FILM ? - AND the reasons WHY ?
  12. Yes, I know, I have been a fan of her music since 1996. She´s a great singer and I enjoy her musical style too. Very unique.
  13. So,.... this is set for release on April 17 ? Tomorrow, right ?
  14. Cool Thanks ... but uh... what happened to that lyric part ... about a "hard nipple" ?
  15. " Virtual Insanity " - Jamiroquai
  16. N is for... " Nessun Dorma " - Andrea Bocelli
  17. I believe she is just writing (or singing) about what is happening with the general public at the moment. It does not mean that the writer/artist is actually a believer of such things. For example, if I was to write a book about "Demons and Witchcraft", it does not mean I am a follower of such crafts or worship the dark-one. Writers and poetry writers need to dig in into the human mind and psychology of what is happening at the moment. Trends. They need a theme to start writing about. To pick out a particular word and write that "word" , which people can understand, because culture at the moment understands what this "word" means. Stuff like "Urban legends" The world at the moment, for the past couple of years , with internet going wild with bizarre stories and videos, there have been a huge amount of conspiracy theories and crazy stories. Stuff you would not think of 10 to 20 years ago. The theory of "chemtrails" is just one of them. If it was so deadly to humans, they would have stopped flying jets years ago. for example, If we both were living in 1985-1995 era and you would ask me about Chemtrails, I would not know what you were talking about, I probably think you were a little crazy... and I am very well aware of many books and stuff dealing with conspiracy theories tales, UFOs and other world mysteries. I have been reading about such stuff since I was a kid, it is interesting stuff to talk about at a dinner table with friends, but I dont take the stories to heart. You have to keep yourself from going "insane". A story-teller writer (or poetry writer) will always dig into the human mind and write about what is happening with culture at the moment. If you read some books written back in the 1950s or 1960s, they had a totally diferent view towards life and the world around them. Their culture (and underground culture) was totally diferent from ours now. Read Jack Kerouack (On the Road 1957 and his other poetry), crazy-cool writers like William S. Burroughs and Allen Ginsberg, Douglas Coupland (Generation X: Tales for an Accelerated Culture 1991). Read some Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche, Arthur C. Clarke, Bob Dylan, Ernest Hemingway, H. G. Wells, Jules Verne, Stephen King. I am sure Lana Del Rey is also an avid reader of such other writers and feeds a little off of their writing style too. She is probably reading this post.
  18. ...and don´t forget that wicked hook LIP RING !
