I agree with you. What is the real big deal ? Once you post anything online, it is there F-O-R-E-V-E-R , no way of erasing it. The poetry+music book/CD is a great idea. Such a project hasn´t been done in a long time, by any artist (I usually buy these things) , only "book-reading" CDs have been made recently. Very diferent. Perhaps she changed her mind about the book cover. I did mention earlier that the fruits painted on it, look more like "lemons" rather than "oranges". Some people might think that the Lemon is the sign of something being bad. No , it is not. I love lemons. I love lemon tea ! Its a beautiful happy colored fruit. Full of vitamin C and energy. The sun is yellow too! Full of life and warmth and energy to give. Perhaps she changed her mind and now wants to see a "Pineapple" on the book cover Maybe she changed her mind for another project. (?) We artists are always changing our minds about artsy projects. We begin one and after awhile we start getting these wacky ideas about another cool project and before you know it, we leave some unfinished business behind. Musicians and painters usually have large amounts of unfinished stuff still hidden in boxes. Take a look at the singer/musician Prince. He literally left us all a "Big VAULT" with more than 1,000+ songs AND Videos in various states of finished/not finished order. It will take years to really dig into that unreleased material and make it available to the fans. Songs and videos no one has ever seen ! The same thing is happening with Lana Del Rey. For those who collect her "demos" and "unreleased" material. Just go and count how many songs you have. There are hundreds of never finished songs. I bet she has a "VAULT" at home where she keeps even MORE stuff in it !

I believe they were more like "Lemons". Painted in watercolor. They did not look like Oranges to me, and I paint on canvas too. I have a few words to say to Ben, we "so-called fans" ALSO buy the records and CDs and Merchandise and concert tickets. I have also been a looooong-time member of U2 forum , Prince, Madonna, and many other singers+bands. Their fans share "enthusiastically" many of their DEMOS , unreleased songs , and ALOT of remixes, and those fans also buy ALL of their records and tons of merchandise from the singers. I have and I always have done. I am an artist who freely shares my art (since 1994 !) with everyone and spread the good news about these music artists, Its my way of saying to the musicians "Thank You so much" for everything you have given me throughout the years. I believe that Lana Del Rey only has to gain from having such devoted fans who enjoy her music, otherwise, all your going to hear is crickets , and no record sales from her work. Specially in a worldwide forum dedicated specially to her music and lifestyle. Would you rather hear this ?... Or hear this ? ...

AAAHAHA I like her sence of humour. I always thought this would be a simple "poetry book" and thought why is it taking soooo long ? But NOW , after reading the previous posted comments + news, I understand the long wait. She is making music WITH the poetry she will be reading. This ought to be a very cool record. This adds another dimension to the whole project. I love it. I also have in my music collection a few CDs with poetry readings with music. Some CDs I bought many years ago, like Jack Kerouak, I had to drive almost 120 miles to buy them. Are they worth it? You betcha !! It will be a pleasure to buy this Lana Del Rey poetry+music record and add it to my living room shelf - The Fine Poetry section, of course

I like this poem Surely this is a LOVE Poem, about a torrid love affair. About who? I do not know, someone only SHE knows of. We shall wait for a name to be added to the pages of her poem. It could be about ME

I like this poem What she wrote is true. It is also a little bit of her autobiography of her life. If you want fame, money and pleasures beyong your wildest dreams... you must change everything in your life or about yourself. You have to change them a few times over the course of your life time. To Be a (human) chameleon of sorts. Who also adehered to this philosophy in life (numerous times) to have all the wildest dreams they could ever imagined? Madonna Prince David Bowie (real name - David Robert Jones) Lana Del Rey (real name - Elizabeth Woolridge Grant) Elton John (real name - Reginald Kenneth Dwigh) ... are just some of the names that come to my mind

Wise words she wrote in this particular line... " May you practice humor in order to bypass invitations to doom " Charles Chaplin also had a thought around the same thing. He once said, " A day without laughter is a day wasted."

I really like this poem Perhaps it is HER as a child, or someone else´s child she noticed playing once. After seeing this child , playing, innocent and carefree, simply playing with no cares in the world, waiting for the fireworks to begin, grinning ever so happily, she thought also to be carefree like a child. She had her head filled with so many thoughts and things to do (Each option weighed carefully, A plan for each thought) After seeing the child, she just decided to do nothing about everything. " Take it as it comes , baby , you´re moving way too fast. " This other poetry line comes from a Doors song, which I would not be surprised if Lana was listening to this particular song , when she wrote her poem. Listen to the music and compare thoughts

I like this poem. Perhaps she could have used the word "Azure" instead of blue. We all have felt the same way when our love is away and we often watch the skies above our heads, watching the twilight recede. Sunset colors slowly vanishing to a darkened sky. The darkness is not the end of the beauty, the nighskies have their beautiful stars too. We often wonder, if the other person we love is watching the same skies as we are, on the same day.

Thoughts to think about. I believe this poem is yet to be concluded. Questions with so many answers to give.
