  1. I don't think anyone is dissing Annie but she did ask some open ended questions... and Lana answered them in her own unique special way
  2. Cliterally... no one is saying Annie is a bad interviewer for it but that is how the interview went! But I guess Lana said what she wanted to say and the consequences of that are that people are going to feel however they want to feel about it.
  3. Even if she got a PR person it doesn't change the fact that this is what she's actually thinking at the end of the day, to the people who are so bothered by it... They'd just rather be ignorant to it. I'd rather hear what she thinks and has to say and I admire her candor even if it rubs people the wrong way. It's very lame that celebrities are expected to shut up or make inauthentic statements about things to appease the majority. Even if she was a complete piece of shit (she isn't), I'd rather know... As for burning bridges, she clearly doesn't care so why should anyone else? I agree that as a public figure it's probably not best for your mental health to read and respond to every single thing said about you, but she should be allowed to defend herself especially when media publications are taking her words out of context and I don't think that should necessarily be attributed to her being unwell eitehr. She may very well be for all we know, but we don't know
  4. I don't know about her mental health ofc but I don't take this specifically as a sign of anything wrong. It can be interpreted as immature sure but there's nothing wrong with her defending herself besides that it's not in the best interest of a mainstream celebrity! And she doesn't seem to care about her celebrity anymore so But I'm someone who cares very little for profesionalism...
  5. She's not unhinged, or unhappy, she's. just. so. Strange. and. Wild.
  6. She literally asked like two questions about the music so... and it wasn't really a fuck up, just an interview
  7. I don't think she said anything that crazy, or sounded so incoherent for that matter. It's probably hard to be perfectly articulate without sacrificing her comfort and candor. Everyone expects 'the right thing' to be said, but not everything that doesn't adhere to that expectation is the wrong thing. She just spoke candidly about her experience during the past year and what she's observed and reflected on and I think that's fine. She's a singer, not a politician. Yes she can be a little ignorant and tone deaf, but sis has Never been politically intelligent... It'd be preferable if she spoke about it less, especially unprompted, but to be fair Annie barely asked about the music and focused more on how Lana was doing. My only criticism is her refusal to take into consideration where the race and diversity conversations are coming from in regards to her because I do think she should be open and receptive to that versus being so defensive and refusing to even consider it... But I do also understand wanting to avoid tokenism and doing things for the wrong reasons. I haven't listened to the second part, but I enjoyed hearing her thoughts and where she's at, even if it was a little kooky...
  8. Both controversial chaotic romantic dramatic ego types...
  9. But she turns words into birds...
  10. I like her instance on alienating the fanbase it's funny. It seems she has forgone her cool girl image in favor of simply being a corny broad. Live Laugh Love your heart out dear...
  11. I'm literally changing the world 24 seven Sylvia Plath
  12. I have to laugh whenever it's posted nonetheless
  13. I love this outfit. My favorite thing about lmlylaw is the single cover. Violet is her best album since Honeymoon.
  14. I love all the little knick knacks she's been posting. her Christmas presents were very sweet too<3
  15. totally agree... obv there's a natural inclination to experiment and find your sound early on which is why a lot of unreleased stuff is so fun to hear especially. It's nice and natural to settle into something that works for you but I'd love to hear something more out there again !
  16. Although now iconic and instrumental in imparting 'Lana Del Rey' in the public's consciousness, in retrospect I find most of her work with Nicole Nodland somewhat corny and heavy handed and I would not be all that excited to see them collab again
  17. talking about "the damage has already been done. " It was..... an Instagram post. That she was tagged in. It's not like Lana profited in any way. If anything it was the other way around because it gave this beautiful young artiste exposure and the potential for more sales + commissions and made Lana look bad because she posted corny artwork.
