Happy birthday to this beautiful, underrated album Loved the visuals (pretending the standard cover doesn't exist), Neil Krug was in his bag this era. White Dress, Chemtrails, Tulsa Jesus Freak is a godly 3 track run + Yosemite is one of my favorite songs of all time. I think the album was definitely a product of its time and it's clear that Lana wasn't exactly sure where she wanted to take it. I wish she would've leaned in harder to the sound of Dark But Just A Game, TJF, and the WD & COTCC outro's but I still love the album regardless. I'm gonna go ahead and say it, Top 3 album overall for me. Kinda can't believe it's been 4 years since this album was released. It's strange to think about. I was still in college, going into my first internship that summer, feeling like I could relate to White Dress on a deeper level because I had left my serving job not long before Changed my profile pic and profile in honor of Chemtrails

So was there anything noteworthy released? I imagine there wasn’t because I haven’t heard much noise about it

Yeah but that still doesn’t make any sense bc if the album is sirens on a budget, and Henry literally sounds like sirens on a budget, what makes it weird for a lead single? I guess if we ever do get the album we’ll know but based off what we’re told, it’s all confusing

Idk if anyone knows who the tiktoker TophiaChu is but her family was carjacked, her brother was murdered and mother shot. They’ve been living in their car for sometime now and they were also super dependent on their brother as Tophia and her mom don’t have a job. it’s a sad story all around but I guess the “unpopular” opinion I have is that we should stop platforming these “lolcows”, rage baiters or whatever you wanna call them. People like Tophia, Ash Trevino, Peaches, Worldoftshirts, even Shawtybae. Ngl I do find myself getting consumed in the content and commentary but I think it’s a slippery slope and we’re all better off- both the content creators and consumers- if we don’t engage with these people
