  1. I obviously still love her but her lack of energy and motivation to actually do anything new or exciting has majorly decreased my interest in her. Boring music videos shot on iPhones, empty promises, lame tour setlists and just in general rather monotonous country/folk music is not what I signed up for.

It‘s hard being a fan of hers these days (and here I thought that HM era was the worst it could get) and I‘m definitely not as invested in her anymore but I can’t write her off just yet. I still think she has it in her to surprise me.

    1. It‘s not unfinished but it sounds pretty rough: Television Heaven / Coca Cola (the rough demo with the Coca Cola jingle as part of the melody).
    2. Noir - I can’t imagine her singing it nowadays but that song has mad potential
    3. Afraid - This song actually could have worked very well with Jack Antonoff‘s production
    4. Your Band is All the Rage - Beautiful song and I could still see her singing this song with a different arrangement nowadays.
    5. Hawaiian Tropic (along with every other version of EMGHW)
    6. Junky Pride - My personal favourite from Sirens

  2. She can’t even serve up three solid music videos per era anymore. I don’t think she could finish a single term as POTUS. She would do it for one day and then lock herself up in the white house and only go on IG live occasionally. She won’t appear or hold speeches in public. She‘ll just release obscure video speeches on SM filmed on the 8mm app.

What's your astrology page? And have you posted this on tumblr? Ahh this as a post with pictures would be so good :flutter:

I actually edited a bit, because I forgot about a few videos in my initial draft.
I don’t have an astrology page (yet) but I was planning on making one. Maybe I’ll just post it on my Lana fan art IG with some cute artwork attached to it. :)

  4. Okay not to shit on your parade…I really like your take but a while ago, I’ve also made a list of my own for a astrology-related IG page I was planning to do (I’m a bit of a geek).

  5. Honestly wasn’t a huge fan of this season. It really drags on for quite a while and most of the new characters bore the shit out of me or are really annoying.

Season 3 was my favorite by far. Loved the cast, the dynamic, the humor and the cinematography.

For me it's also the music and her old aesthetic. I watched multiple of her interviews and her personality is always like boiled unseasoned chicken.

Not the H***** stan coming back in here to troll and talk shit.

halsey would never need to pay rent a day in her life with some of y'all i swear… :awkney2: we already know she's talentless or whatever just give that girl a break this is the sky ferreira thread

The problem is that one troll that keeps bringing Halsey into this thread.

Guys I wish Sky would be as big as Halsey. In an alternative universe she would sell milions of copies but she sadly remained underrated with a debut album for 10 years.

On the other hand, it's a pretty stan behavior to act like she was doing us a favor for releasing music and performing. She's literally doing a job she chose to. She's not doing charity work. She's releasing music/an albums as a product for us to consume and buy and perform to pay bills. Everything here is constructive criticism by fans who think she's doing a half assed work. When it comes to mental health, we have little info about her life and honestly I don't feel comfortable discussing about stuff she doesn't share. But still, there are mentally ill artists that still perform better than her and she's been performing the exact same way since 2013.

Halshit gave up her artistic and creative integrity to be successful. She markets herself as this wildly extraordinary and alternative artist, yet she makes the most basic and bland music. Then she gets frustrated when her obvious attempts flop/fail. She’s just as much a mess…just in different aspects.

  9. She’s an absolute mess but her music is too fucking good to not be rooting for her. We know what she is capable of when she’s all there…

Something is clearly wrong and I don’t think it’s anyone else but her. However, it really seems that something mentally fucked her up a lot and that is nothing to joke about or mock her for. We can only hope that she’ll get better.

Instead of Boys 5 damn times, Pray for Rain, Guardian, Legends and Downhill Lullaby would've been better I guess :true:

I think that setlist was a joke. Why would she perform the same song 5 times? :lmao:

Damn you are just on an anti-Honeymoon rampage :awkney: Ngl even though I don't agree, I respect the dedication :oprah3:

Yes, because some people are doing the absolute most trying to proclaim this album as her best. It‘s not and it never will be.

Someone needs to counter all the overrating, so here I am. :oop:

  12. Still one of her absolute worst songs in terms of lyrics. She performed this instead of Love the last time I saw her life. I was so pissed, I went for a toilet break. I honestly dislike this song to a passion.

you had me on everything you were saying until this

we are not dragging honeymoon aka the album that made me a lana fan just because it’s only now getting it’s flowers

Yes, we are cause it was the album that caused a huge crisis for me as a stan. :hoe:

It’s by no means terrible in my opinion. It’s just pretty lacking if you compare it to UV and BTD. It just feels like a contract filler. Lust for Life on the other hand feels like an album she was pretty proud of again and was eager to perform life.

I do agree that LFL has some of her best songs. Heroin is probably my second favorite Lana song. 13 Beaches, Cherry, and Get Free are also great. If you cut out some of the more political songs, I think it would be a top 3 album for me.

I think the political songs are somewhat understandable in a way. That was her mindset at the time.

I do believe that the “witches in Hollywood” concept would have been cooler and more intriguing. I tried to make a playlist that somewhat showcases what it could have been like.

    1. 13 Beaches
    2. Lust for Life - 1st Demo
    3. Serene Queen
    4. Cherry
    5. White Mustang
    6. Best American Record
    7. Yosemite
    8. Heroin
    9. The End (WTWWAWWKD)
    10. God Bless America
    11. Change
    12. Young & in Love
    13. Get Free

    13 songs cause :illumilana:

I love Groupie Love and some of the other collabs but I would have preferred a cute collab EP to accompany LFL instead of putting them on an album they didn’t belong on.

    In My Feelings can ROT!

I think there was a decline from Honeymoon to LFL the same way there was a decline from NFR to Chemtrails. It would be cool to get a few songs from Rick again, but she would probably benefit the most from working with a new producer entirely.

More like the opposite. To me and a lot of fans I know, LFL was sort of a return to form compared to the previous one. Honeymoon only looks good compared to the shit she pulled out later. Overall, the individual songs on Honeymoon are not discography standouts. LFL has more clear standouts (and low points) but overall it was more varied in sound and seemed more ambitious thematically.

He does that on purpose to make it sound "unexpected", which he thinks translates to genius.

A while ago, someone on here shared soundcloud links to Jack talking about the production in The Greatest and if i recall correctly, he talks about it in that. (Here's the short version- not sure if this cuts it out tho https://youtu.be/fWkf0KCRbGg).

When I was listening to the full version, I could almost begin to appreciate Jack's thought process and production as he explained it all, but then when I listened to The Greatest again, I really couldn't pick up his "genius"...

There is such a contrast in what people think about NFR, it's almost like the Laurel vs Yanny thing, where both might be correct. Its either her best or her worst and no in between..

It’s somewhere in between for me. It’s the leading album of the 4 boring ones (imo) she’s done. To me, her discography can be split into 4 cinematic and somewhat badass albums and 4 more chill, less story but sound-driven albums.

    1. Ultraviolence
    2. Born to Die
    3. Lust for Life
    4. Paradise

    1. Norman Fucking Rockwell
    2. Honeymoon
    3. Blue Banisters
    4. Chemtrails Over the Country Club
