  1. no but she only went live in the first place cause she was having a mental breakdown but eventually she felt better and someone in the chat brought up celebrities/lana
  2. GUYS her friend Mackenzie Sith is live rn on instagram and talking about Lana a little. She said the album isn't coming out any time soon
  3. Not necessarily a favourite of mine, but it made me understand why Lana might see herself in Sylvia “Being born a woman is my awful tragedy. From the moment I was conceived I was doomed to sprout breasts and ovaries rather than penis and scrotum; to have my whole circle of action, thought and feeling rigidly circumscribed by my inescapable feminity. Yes, my consuming desire to mingle with road crews, sailors and soldiers, bar room regulars--to be a part of a scene, anonymous, listening, recording--all is spoiled by the fact that I am a girl, a female always in danger of assault and battery. My consuming interest in men and their lives is often misconstrued as a desire to seduce them, or as an invitation to intimacy. Yet, God, I want to talk to everybody I can as deeply as I can. I want to be able to sleep in an open field, to travel west, to walk freely at night...” ― Sylvia Plath, The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath
  4. so happy she finally did an interview like this again. much better than that jack antonoff interview
  5. here i am, getting excited every time she posts, like a fool
  6. hey guys if i ever come on here and impulsively decide i'm going to spend $50 on the hardcover make sure to beat the shit out of me so i don't do it
  7. oh for sure. during that one baby shower earlier in quarantine mackenzie posted a lot of pictures and footage that rubbed off as sort of creepy and i can't help but feel like she's just sort of posting it so people know she's with lana
  8. the song?? you're still alive?
  9. to this day i don't really get this line though. other than the fact that it rhymes with dad, i don't get the point in/significance in an iPad
  10. this makes sense. LFL lyrics was either extremely general and followed typical pop themes or concerned with the current politics. Mostly what made NFR so popular with critics is how easily digestible, simple and relatable the themes in the lyrics is. (Hope is a dangerous thing is the one song thats an exception)

    Melanie Martinez

yeah it's catchy. i like it more than what she was doing on k-12, literally just going through a list of different social issues to bring up because usually when people do that it's just surface level and uninteresting commentery ( it reminds me of this old canadian show called degrassi where every episode just had to bring up another social issue for the sake of it)
  12. im glad someone said this before i had to. i wonder what kind of mental instability it takes to be able to do this EVERY SINGLE DAY
  13. Can BTS stop with dynamite. i am so god damn tired of hearing this song. they're pulling a justin bieber yummy and are uploading a bunch of slightly different music videos to get more streams on the song, and like 15 different remixes of it. i haven't even heard of any news of an album, so it's not like they're promoting an album
  14. Randomly came across this video essay. First bit of the video draws parallels between the subject and Lanas question for the culture post. Interesting.
  15. im slowly becoming obsessed with her
