  1. i don't know, TJF sort of leans in a portishead-y direction sonically (from what we can tell of the clip, anyhow). i know the album as a whole won't be trip-hoppy but i do wonder about these 2 songs.
  2. i know!! i wonder if this means electronic elements? def something v moody. i forget the instrument run-down for this track and am too lazy to look it up rn. as a so cal girl i high key identify with calling anything below 60 degrees cold lololol
  3. yeah i'm thinking PWYC style unpolished and vulnerable– which i love! would always much rather an emotionally-saturated vocal than a "perfect" one.
  4. i have a willa cather mug i got at the WC museum in nebraska that i really like, and a pisces mug i got at a thrift store. do you have a fireplace?
  5. i'm interested in how she incorporates garden party and howl– with direct references? does she interpolate some part of garden party? could be anything!
  6. i had the nuttiest dream about the white dress video being an epic 10-min long saga that made me cry...i know that's not what we're getting for the vid but appreciate my subconscious trying to "leak" the experience two weeks early
  7. i think she's unsure because it doesn't maybe have an arc or sound that draws it into one big universe the way, for example, NFR did (she mentions the sun-washed production)– she says it has an essence of a "life lived," meaning the connecting factor is her and her perspective, rather than production and narrative tying it all together maybe. idk, i am not worried at all, i think in some ways it might feel more raw than, say, LFL and NFR.
  8. Can’t wait to cry my ass off to these sadass bops! And excited that she’ll be using so much of her higher register throughout.
  9. just started plain bad heroines by emily danforth and so far it's really fun & engaging– a queer mystery that takes place over several decades in a girl's boarding school, hollywood & more.

  15. wonder, again, if these are song lyrics...(re the follow your intuition post) i think lana is agreeing that she too like to put flowers around to brighten things up, lana has talked about her love of gardening, having flowers in the home etc.
  16. Not a Marvel fan in general (don’t hate it just not my thing) but really enjoying wandavision so far, esp the way they played w old sitcom tropes (grew up watching dick van dyke and bewitched re-runs) in the first 3 eps- and excited to see where it goes from here.
  17. just dropping in on this thread to laugh at myself, the last bitch on earth without a violet merch shipping notification? i'll just be here waiting, i guess

  20. she looks gorgeous and the cover quote makes me think of the interview mag video (when she says something about it not being easy being an eclectic person). i know she's gonna address the ~drama~ but i hope that's just a passing quote and the rest of the interview focuses on the record it's cute how its color coordinated to her top
