I agree but they have very different approaches to their art and how they release albums. For Taylor everything has to be calculated and announced at the right time for the shock value and hype it generates. Lana on the other hand just makes music for the sake of it and releases/announces it as soon as she's allowed to. I don't think she even has a the concept of an "era" in her mind anymore when starting an album cycle. For example all the snippets in the NFR weren't (in my opinion of course) a way of creating hype or promoting the music to come but more of a general "look at what I recorded and I'm proud of". When she said she wanted to release a surprise album at some point I don't think she meant it as a way of shocking people either but more of a way to freely release anything she wanted without all the promo and stuff related to an album release. I don't think any of their ways are right or wrong tho, just very different approaches to music as a career

Maybe it's the price she has to "pay" for having 2 lowkey albums back to back... like I get she has full creative control but Interscope is a big label so I'm sure they want a bigger era this time (at least in terms of promotion cause a lot of people didn't even know BB was coming at that time Maybe her streaming numbers being huge makes them more confident in whatever she wants to release... or maybe they'll want to maximize profit and see how high Lana can really go with proper promo and something a bit more upbeat or radio friendly I wish I could read Lana's contract to see how much they can influence her output

Even if the shirt is not decisive evidence at all I'm sure Taylor has at least asked Lana for a collab at some point. She didn't do many collabs in the past but she has a couple in every album now and since she basically stans Lana and they are friends (?) now (plus the Jack connection) the odds are high... the thing is that maybe Lana declined the offer I'm not really into Taylor but I think they would sound lovely together in a song and since she's been so supportive of Lana it would be a cute moment

I just want to say how clear her high register sounds in the Rockefeller snippet. I liked the raw breathy vocals on WD and SC but I missed this style. And it's a recording of a recording with a phone... imagine the actual thing I don't know if she had a different approach this time or it's just that the vocals were treated differently tho

That tracklist is probably fake. A couple of days ago there was another similar one but with different tracks (I think the Lana collab was called Hourglass ?) And yes I agree it would make way more sense to just stay silent instead of denying the rumors if they were true If it ends up being real (the collab per se not the title) what are you expecting? I think it could either be country leaning or maybe something more cinematic since that's what Taylor likes to copy get inspiration from Lana

The fact that Taylor has a full album coming in just a month with vinyl on production and all that and not a word about it leaked... I'm kinda jealous cause I feel like we're never going to be surprised like that by Lana cause they always know her every move I hope LDR9s rollout proves me wrong even if that means waiting a bit more until she officially announces anything related to it

Knowing Taylor (and Lana) she's only going to have background vocals I'm afraid I hope that since Lana is basically her fave they are doing an actual collab instead of some harmonies and maybe a bridge

I feel bad for her... she can't catch a break Unless the delay was to change the tracklist or heavily rework the album they should just release it as soon as possible (or at least on the original date) What a mess

A lot of legendary acts like Peggy Lee or Frank Sinatra were (at least at some point) signed to them and they probably still own those rights so it makes sense

I think she is quite happy with Interscope/Polydor since they let her do whatever she wants lately but we don't know how many records were in her contract or if she renewed at some point (probably cause I don't think contracts have that many records). Obviously what goes on with the label is something only she knows. She's at 9 albums so far (I guess Violet counts too since they published the audio formats) Interscope promoted WCE so her latest release was still with them I'm curious about how a Lana rollout would be with another label but I'd also be scared that they would make her play the industry game and block her albums unless she gets hits and all that stuff... but knowing Lana she would only switch labels if she'd get even more freedom in her releases

And just 1 year (and 2 months) after LFL we already had the first 2 singles from Norman so the wait wasn't even that long I love Lana she spoils us too much We're definitely getting at least a single this year

They know that we get hyped with the bare minimum so it's really easy promo for them to tease whatever even if it's just a new Lana tshirt with a 2012 picture But my delulu self is moving thinking it could be LDR9 related

I don't care if the album is still months away I need the title and cover NOW We used to get the titles really really early (even if she ended up changing them) so it feels weird having nothing when the album is allegedly almost done but I guess we'll get more stuff when she announces the first single

We always get a new real insider every era but they are usually for particular small things (like the W Magazine shoot details, the itunes guy or the random person with the Arcadia release date on another forum) but that level of detail about the album is something only boz has been reliable about in the past. Pop jazz edm, YTH and Del Norte County gave it away anyway tho
