It's the Recording Academy that ends up switching the categories around. For example Kacey Musgraves tried submitting her last album and some songs to the country categories but only one made it and the other official submissions ended up on pop (and that's even before being considered for a nomination). Nicki also tried to get Super Freaky Girl into rap but it was switched to pop (and it wasn't even nominated). Halsey's last album was put into Alternative cause she worked with alternative and rock producers but it wasn't that different from her "pop" albums so it's all a mess in the end They would have to campaign hard for DYKTTATUOB if they want to convince them that Lana is not pop

She used to shoot a lot of MVs even before releasing the lead single she started the eras with everything done already. I think she has some visuals prepared for us tho... those pictures in a different set from the main album shoot are suspicious and we also have that MV set her friend was in

Yayyy. I've been watching him since he started NFR and I love him I love how he does one song for each video so he can go in depth and that he actually says interesting stuff and reads interviews and such for more context on each track and album

Cmon there's no way they delay the single cause they would achieve nothing by doing so. They will probably re upload it there closer to the release with the actual single cover so it doesn't get leaked too Lana had whole records leak and they didn't even release them early so they won't cancel a single just cause a small portion of the internet knows about it (and it's not that deep... it's just a date and we knew it was coming anyway because of iTunes & co.)

I was catching up and I freaked out with that link cause I only read the first line and thought it was legit since at that point nobody mentioned lyrics and I thought they uploaded them later If anyone can write lyrics there is it really significant that the song was added?

Unless they have a radio show premiere or a magazine cover that same day does it really matter when it's out? It's not like they're planning a perfect day for a number one debut on the charts If they are mad the "surprise" is out they should just release it earlier and that's it (and streaming platforms are to blame tho, A&W appeared there first)

I don't get why the insist on the "surprise" release strategy anyway... yeah it works sometimes but it's also nice to build up the hype some days before the actual release. And I'm not even talking commercially, just as a satisfying fan experience. She also spoiled her own surprise saying she was going to announce stuff about the album in December anyway I find way more exciting to get teasers, photoshoot visuals, short snippets and such. Specially since we already know a single is coming and the album was announced months ago
