Knowing Lana’s security, even if it wasn’t for the album then it would’ve still found its way to insiders by now. So my theory is that it was recorded for Jon’s upcoming album, but he decided not to put it on there so Lana decided to put it on ocean blvd. Either way, I don’t think a last minute addition means it’ll be lesser. The JB interlude is probably a follow-on from Candy Necklace (I haven’t heard the interlude so it may be glaringly obvious that this isn’t the case) & its placement between two interludes probably isn’t that out of place if that’s the case. BOZ better deactivate after the album release so we can ask about Candy Necklace..

I’m not judging tbh but like it kinda does matter.. her art is being totally butchered and fans are treating it as completely disposable. Idc about people listening to leaks, it’s just disappointing to see fans act this rabid/undisciplined.

But this is initial day we’re talking about. A&W longevity was definitely due to the quality, first day streams are all down to fans.

A&W was 2mins longer and the Grants should have replay value for fans.. first day streams should not be worse, no matter how awful the song is. Especially after a radio premiere on one of the UK’s biggest radio station.

I think for first day, it’s down to fans. The Grants wasn’t going to chart well long term but initial days streams are definitely much lower bc of leaks. I’ve listened to the leak about a dozen times but I haven’t even streamed the release on Spotify yet
