I'd say the lyricism on Smile is less cringy compared to Witness, it also feels way tamer. Smile is basically a good collection of songs, while Witness is all over the place in terms of the message. It still bops tho
  14. Gorgeous video, love the aesthetic, love the hair. Oh, to have her life and be her Also, the diary part 'I have so many diaries, if they were ever found, all of my boyfriends would absolutely be in prison.' hmmm

Got to see the K-12 movie in the cinema a year ago today along with the whole album for the first time. Such good visuals, choreography, looks and so many great hairstyles, I really enjoyed it. I was probably one of the oldest people in the hall lol, there were so many middle school girls

That Joe Rogan interview was so good. Really funny, insightful and interesting. Had to watch it in parts Fave moments were when she was talking about her animals, drag race and Bang My Box

Those Live Lounge performances are so good. The only thing that's missing for me in Slide Away are those 'high' vocals that start the chorus (the line 'So won't you slide away') makes it feel more emotional. Her voice sure is raspy at some times

Oh wow, happy bday Dead Petz. I can't believe it's been 5 Years, what a time that was. (w/ Honeymoon coming out in less than 3 weeks) Has some very good tunes, still remember when it came out I Get So Scared is still so beautiful <3
  23. Happy birthday Norman! My fave Lana album and one of my all time favourites ever. I could say so many things, it was released at a time when so much of it rang true in my life. It was a tedious wait at times, but ultimately proved to be more than worth it. Will never forget the first listen in full, I cried for 30 minutes after hearing Love Song. The amount of times I’ve cried while listening to The greatest and Happiness is a butterfly is infinite. The album feels much more subtle and toned down compared to Lana’s previous releases, probably that’s why I can relate to it much more, since my own personality has been turned down a couple of notches in the past few years. I was kinda seeing this guy at the time, and the album came out towards the end of that ‘relationship’, so Norman was like the ‘before’ and MAGDALENE became the ‘after’ of the ‘breakup’. Anyways, still sometimes wish How to disappear had remained a nice piano ballad since I overplayed the Apple event live version, but I still love the album version. Honestly don’t hate a single song, they’re all absolutely beautiful. The god tier would have to be Happiness, The greatest, Love song, Venice Bitch and Fuck it I love you. Please excuse my rambling, there were too many things I wanted to say. Love u Norman <3
  24. American Psycho Excellent movie, great cast, loved Christian Bale. Patrick's comments about Whitney made me want to listen to her again lol Before that, I think I watched Monster, also good

Have to say Smile is a very cute pop record, very clear, concise and fun. Doesn't drag at all Never Really Over, Champagne Problems and Tucked are probably my trinity for now. Tucked is just sooo good and NRO feels timeless Also love Teary Eyes, CAIL, even the title track is very catchy, makes me smile lol. And Harleys works better within the album imo, didn't like it too much when it came out The only song I don't really care for so far is Only Love. And What Makes a Woman definitely ends too abruptly. Could've used one more chorus or at least a few more lines Still love Katy after stanning for 12 years
