Boom Like That i grew to love its complex layers and the lyrics that through many layers describe our broken society -
like i say blank song VS blank song and people choose which one they prefer and why, but no one is doing that so i'm really confused edit: nvm im so stupid i just read the rules
-
this thread confuses me, why is everybody putting songs against each other but no one is voting
-
i feel like even tho she was limited by the storyline with CB she still did an amazing job, i actually think it's what motived her, but then with K-12 she thought she could keep it up cause she wanted to but simply couldn't
-
i tried to get into Mtn Dew cause i wanted to feel the song on a deeper lever and i convinced myself that i liked it for a while but now years later i can confess it takes like motor oil but i also did the same with Cherry Cola and now i fucking love it
-
like her career wasn't disastrous enough now her most ignorant stans gotta REALLY make sure she got nothing left
-
her writing was indeed so good prior and during the CB era, what happened after?
-

i still to this day think Ride is her magnum opus, it's what Lana it's all about, freedom, i feel like that's her ultimate goal in life in general -
what's that one unreleased from every era that you swear should have been on the album? for me it's AKA: Trash Magic BDT: Serial Killer Paradise: Life Is Beautiful UV: not easy but either Angles Forver, Fina China, Pink Champagne, Summertime or I Talk To Jesus (tbh others too, god what an era) HM: so far we don't have an unreleased that makes me wish it was on the album, but i'd say Yes to Heaven even tho in my mind it belongs to the earlier version of UV LFL: The Next Best American Record (or Roses Bloom For You ) NFR: we dont have any COCC: we dont have any BB: we dont have any DYKTTATUOB: we dont have any there are planty of others unreleased that i swear could have been on the album especially from BTD, Paradise and UV

she's obviously trying to go as mainstream as possible, yes her music has always been generic poo but it used to be fun and bops, but this is straight up giving H&M music
-
this is so old lol but i was just randomly thinking about it, and i 100% believe that Serial Killer should have been on BTD, that song doesn't feel like an unreleased, it feels like a song that was left out by mistake idk how to explain it but in my heart that song deserved a spot on the album
-
so these were written for an earlier version of crash?
-
well i was actually a sperm cell in Rob's ball and i was swimming with the sperm cell that eventually became Lana so all of you suck already
-
how can y'all find Hanging Around scary, it literally birthed Crazy For You

something that upsets me about this album is that it's not about Cry Baby at all even tho she really tried to convince us that it is looking back at the lyrics from Cry Baby (album) the songs had a very very specific storytelling and you could very much tell she was painting a picture, a child who is born into a toxic family, even the kidnapping part is very specific. k-12 it's were the story starts cracking aka she got tired of CB and wanted to say smth more personal, wr still got very specific lyrics that serve the storyline (namedropping Kelly, Brandon etc) but also tracks like Show & Tell where u can definitely tell it had nothing to do with the storyline and it was smth from her personal pov that she tried to force into the album, making feel unchoesive. but Portals is were she 100% dropped the whole thing, even when she personally described the songs she didn't even mention CB or the events that happen to her in this album, cause there is no storyline, like, she is reborn and then what? everything is clearly Melanie related, you couldn't have CB (album) without the storyline but you can 100% have Portals without it being about CB like she claims, it's pretty obvious she wanted to get rid of the storyline but i'm sad she lost track of the story and basically dropped it without a proper ending

no it was more like Paris, Puppy Love, BBM Baby, Prom Song etc
-
no it sounded very different, better i would even say
-
i'm a casual listener, i loved TOTL, some songs from the #1 era, some songs from Clarity and some unreleased songs too but this (Alone) feels so uninspired, old, already heared before, not fresh at all, and i'm lowkey tired of the 90s interpolations/samples since Unholy it's like she wanna flop
-
hey guys i just woke up and i have good news i had a dream that Lana had an unreleased unleaked song from the BTD era, it sounded poppy and fun sort of like Puppy Love, Paris etc... i remember exactly the melody and the hook started with "goodbye we break up forever, i woke up in your umbrella" idk wtf the last line means but who am i to question her genius this is a premonitory dream, i can feel it, somebody add this to the unleaked tracks list, my insider era @111 @fl0r1dakil0s @Kintsugi @BlackoutZone y'all are done
