Congratulations! Sounds like you had a fun experience, despite the obstacles. Glad to hear you enjoyed the concert, and that you got to give Lana your scrapbook.

Totally agree with you, @@buster. From where I was, it was easy to see the emotion on her face, especially when she sang "Chelsea Hotel #2." And to see her smiling at the crowd and at the people in front now and then... definitely a beautiful thing.

Oh wow, I didn't realize her popularity had declined over there. I know she had a pretty big following in London, too... I wonder if that has decreased similarly.

@@letsescapelizzy Yeah, it's funny that they call it the "Endless Summer" tour, when it actually ends before summer even starts! LOL... When I first saw the tour dates and locations, I saw that it was all-US. I'm assuming it was planned that way. Maybe she'll do an international tour later on, perhaps after Honeymoon comes out. She was touring throughout Europe in the latter part of last year; she was also in Mexico right before the Hollywood Forever shows. She has a HUGE fan base in Europe; I'm sure she'll head back there again, especially if it's in support of Honeymoon.

I suppose that depends on your venue. Parking at my venue was free! (They also had "VIP parking," which was not part of the VIP ticket packages, and that cost extra. Not sure what the advantage was... it was a *little* closer, but still the same crowd getting out.) That depends on what type of ticket you have, but in general, the earlier, the better. I had a Silver VIP ticket and I got there at 8:45 AM. There were already around 50 or so people in line, and as I learned later, I was #22 of the Silver VIP ticket holders. This may vary from venue to venue, but at mine, if you had Gold VIP or Bronze VIP, or regular (non-pit) tickets, you had an assigned seat, so the only real reason to get there at least somewhat early was to beat some of the parking crowd. If you have Silver VIP or a regular GA Pit ticket, then if you want to get close to front and center of the pit, be there early. WAY early if you don't have Silver VIP. There were people at my venue who camped out overnight. If there's a GA lawn area, and it's at the back of the venue like it was at mine, then getting there early won't really gain you anything. The view from pretty much anywhere on the lawn will be the same; you'll mainly be watching the big screens, not the stage itself. So I guess the short answer is really that if you have Silver VIP or GA Pit tickets, get there early. Otherwise, don't bother.

@@buster I was front row *almost* center. Even though Lana didn't quite make it over to where I was, it was still worth it because my view was spectacular. The videos I took from my phone didn't do it justice.

If only you could bring THAT into the pit... that'd be awesome. I'd pay just to see that!

Wow, seriously? A venue hosting a headliner like Lana with no parking??? That's messed up...

A lot of people at my show had gifts for her, and no one had a problem with them being taken away. I suppose it would depend on what the item is. So don't plan on giving her a gun... If you don't get to hand it directly to her, you can give it to one of the security guys in front of the stage. That's what I did. They'll put it up on the stage along with the other stuff she gets (she usually puts it down somewhere near the front when she goes back up). She doesn't take everything back with her right away when she exits the stage after she's done; presumably, the security people collect the rest and get it to her. As @@buster said, good luck!!

That will depend largely on the size of your venue (specifically, the size of your venue's pit) and what number you get. In my case, I was #22 and I got front row. When you arrive at your venue to wait in line, you'll be waiting with everyone else -- silver VIP, bronze VIP, gold VIP, and regular ticketholders. Later in the day, Natalie from Live Nation will start at the front of the line, ask who has Silver VIP tickets, verify their names and check IDs, and then give you a wristband with your number. At that point, you'll be free until it's time to line up at the designated VIP entrance. Once you're there, she'll give you another wristband, which is for your pit entrance. Then they'll eventually bring you inside, line you up outside the pit, and then turn you loose. As I mentioned, I was #22 and I got front row. I was just to the right of the stairs that Lana used to come down off the stage. The stairs were facing left, and unfortunately, she went to our left but did not go to the right. She went back up the stairs and said she'd be back, but she never came down again... so no selfie for me. But if there's ever another opportunity, I'll make sure to go to the side that the stairs are facing!

In my Lana playlist, the "Paradise" section starts with "Ride" and then "American" is next. We think alike.

If the lawn is BEHIND the general easting area (it was at my venue), I wouldn't bother getting there early other than to beat the parking crowds. The people who get there early and line up for hours (like me) are generally the ones who have pit tickets. I honestly don't think the lawn is going to fill up that fast, and even if it does, if it's way in the back, it really won't make any difference if you're at the front, middle, or back of the lawn; your view would be about the same. So I think if it were me, I wouldn't waste my time getting there that early.

OMG major bummer. Lana is TOTALLY worth being sick over and missing work/losing money for!! But I hope you find a buyer for your ticket...

"Video Games" is the first song in my Lana playlist. I think it would've been a great opening track for Born To Die. "Ride" is my pick for the opener to Paradise, and "Cruel World" or "Brooklyn Baby" for Ultraviolence.

As some have already said, it depends largely on both the venue and the people. My personal experience was that the people were really cool in the line. Everyone was there for the same reason. Those of us with Silver VIP tickets got in first, and got good spots. The pit was crowded, and, well... a typical pit. I was in the front row against the barricade. Every time Lana got close to our side, I felt the whole pit surge forward and I was pushed up against the barricade. I didn't let that deter me from enjoying the concert, but just be prepared. There was someone similar to that in my crowd, too. That's true, but staying to the side pretty much kills any chance you have of getting a selfie or interacting with Lana, if that's your goal. Pits are always a bit of a madhouse... Indeed! Preparation is key. If you're in the pit, dancing will be out of the question. Trust me. You'll be shoulder to shoulder.

@@nickloveslana Congratulations on getting your selfie!! Glad to hear you had a good time. Those pits can be rough; glad you were able to hold your ground and not get pushed around. Like you, I had a sore back and legs from standing so long and holding myself in place. My chest was also sore from being pushed up against the barricade several times. But it's worth it!!

@@nickloveslana There will only be one line. All of the VIP ticketholders (bronze, silver, gold) will be in the same line as you until Natalie from VIP Nation comes around to find the VIP people. At my concert, that happened around 3 PM. Once she gives you a numbered wristband, you'll be free to leave the line and do whatever you want until it's time to come back and line up at the VIP area (that was 5 PM for me). If you're 3rd in line, if the 2 people in front of you are VIP, then you'll end up being first! Of course, the Silver VIP people will be admitted into the pit before you, so you may still end up 3rd of 4th row... depends on the size of your pit. The Gold and Bronze VIP packages both have regular seats, so you'll only be competing with the Silver VIP pepole for the pit. Whoops, slight correction, I said "once she gives YOU a numbered wristband..." The numbered wristbands are given to the Silver VIP people. You said you're not VIP, right? You'll still get a pit wristband, but I don't think they're numbered.

Hello! The answers to some of these questions will depend on the venue. Depending on the size of your pit, there's a chance you could still get front row, but at my show on May 16, for which I had Silver VIP, they let the VIP people in to the pit first to claim their spots. I was #22 of the VIP people. The VIP ticket holders filled up about the first 2 rows of the pit, so if yours is similar in size, you may end up in the 3rd row. This largely depends on the venue. At mine, some people got there even earlier than 10 PM and were able to park in the venue's parking lots before they closed them off. (Apparently, they didn't make anyone move their cars.) If you can't park in a lot, you may have to park somewhere farther away and walk a ways. At some point during the day, they'll open the parking lots, and if you've made some good friends by then and can trust people to hold your spot, you could take your stuff back to your car and then bring your car down to a parking lot. But depending on when they open the lots and when they start letting people inside the gates, you could run the risk of losing your spot. See above for some of what @@buster had to say. I think that depends on the venue. At Hollywood Forever last October, for example, the stairs were at the far left (stage right) side. That's situational. The same thing happened during the Friday performance at Hollywood Forever last year (and she sound-checked with the same a capella song), but not Saturday. There's also a video of her performing "Summertime Sadness" a couple of years ago in Frankfurt during the Paradise Tour, and less than a minute into the song, her in-ear monitor starts giving her some trouble and she stops. (She kept referring to it as her "microphone," but it was her in-ear monitor.) Can't speak for fans' mentalities... This was the first time I'd seen her (either in person or in a video clip) go down off the stage *in between* songs. Usually, she does it during a song. Last year at Hollywood Forever, she did it twice, both times during songs (once during Cola, and once during National Anthem). I think she only did that for one particular song. I can't remember which one it was, but I believe it was a Paradise song, which she hasn't performed in a while. Who knows... maybe she wasn't. Hard to say, though. Last October when I saw Lorde in concert, she talked for about 3-4 minutes about how much she loved San Diego. Whether or not she said that at all of her shows on that tour, I don't know. My guess, though, is that Lana would probably only talk about LA and New York, since those are the places she considers "home."

Oh yeah, that's right, I forgot. It was a poster, but it got all creased and folded over when I was in the pit, so I tossed it and just kept the bandana-thing. But same here, I got the Silver VIP for early entry and pit access, not the merch.
