Definitely this^^^ shes smiling at the end, everything is in color, shes in front of the her star. Its her ideal world, where art is appreciated and shes not seen just as this product of the industry to create an aesthetic. While i love every single look, i think it also represents how people expect her to look and act like a diva all the time. I got that Lana wants to feel glamorous and beautiful on her own terms, not society’s. Shes always referenced glamorous women who have deserved better in her art, but this film really added a layer of contemplation to the glamour and aesthetic of Lana Del Rey.

Wow, im stunned. At first i was confused where the music video was going, then it immediately clicked when she started talking about her vision for the video. Shes portraying all of these women who were let down by society that were expected to be 100% star power all the time. The bts footage puts you in the place of this star whos lived multiple lives and its just such an interesting concept. I think her at the end with the hollywood star represents her being an angel, she has no candy necklace on. Its a lot to digest still but im in love. ALSO OMG THE HAIR THE LOOKS????????? I WAS SCREAMING i hope we get more footage or pictures!

Too much beautiful, nfr, and bartender slander here for my liking…. Yall just dont get it. I also notice a lot of yall tend to not be fans of the lyrics that are too direct and maybe don't have grander metaphor. I personally love the route lanas gone song writing wise because i feel its added another more personal layer to her persona. I use persona loosely because i have always felt lanas music is true to her, but her artistic vision has so many layers that add to the music that i feel go under appreciated! Theres only one Lana Del Rey

You see, i also feel this album has a strange timeless vibe to it, more so than her other recent albums. And its experimental enough (a&w for example) that the people are gagged! My friend who used to hate lana said her other friends had a listening party and she said she really enjoyed it! If her music videos are as exciting as the lead up to them has been and with all these festivals, i feel she will reallly skyrocket!

Lots of talk about how we are connecting with this album emotionally. Honestly i relate to a majority of her songs, theres always at least a couple songs that i feel help give me lots of insight on what im going through in my life. From chemtrails to now, i have really resonated with most of the songs, especially this album. Maybe its the cancer sign in us lol. A lot of subjects on this album were very dark, theres a lot of loss in this album. But where it wraps up makes me feel that theres victory, and self realization. I dont know what i would do without lanas music

Okay so I saw neils story. I couldn’t make out what the tape said when that picture initially was released and I felt there was a meaning behind it but I wasn’t really sure what.I wonder what “rust dress” means… Her Easter egg era! Mother keeping us stuffed

Hmmm, idk there was something very sweet and introductory about it. Not to mention, Lana had THEE Whitney Houston’s backup singers, I can imagine it was a huge deal for Lana. I think it really was a nice opening to what the album would entail, a little jazzy and soulful, with a gorgeous melody. It adds to the meaning of the album in my opinion

As someone who’s father and uncles used to go deep sea fishing up north, it’s seen as a bonding time and usually a very quiet place to clear your thoughts out on the ocean. I feel like she’s praying that her ancestors are watching over them even in their everyday lives and the things they wish to perceive. “While he’s deep sea fishing, for all the things he’s wishing” I think shes also recognizing her role as someone who has a lot of influence and is praying that her influence is perceived for the better. “I know they think it took thousands of people to put me together again” “a fallible deity” “regrettably a white woman” I took these lines as her recognizing what the public says about her, and that she’s reflected on the impact that her words can have and taken a step outside of herself to ask for guidance to make sure her intentions line up with how she is perceived. She’s asking god for a sign that she’s on the right track
