This is the first Rosalía album I have listened to and it’s sooo good! I need to check out EMQ.

Yeah I fully believe that Jack just makes the music sound like the artists he is working with want it to sound. However there is no excuse for recycling hope’s melody on Stoned at the Nail Salon.

She released Ultraviolence and Honeymoon like a year apart, and they both had clear concepts. I don’t think the amount of time between albums is the problem.

Wait why are people thinking it is for the poetry book? Rob said album/music. Would he be using those terms for Lana’s poetry books?

Yeah NFR is now often seen as one of the best albums of the past decade. I’ve even seen it show up on a few best albums of all time lists. Even if you don’t like NFR, you have to admit that it was a really successful album for her.

Yeah I don’t know how he always finds time to work on all these albums. I know he worked on Florence and Zoë Kravitz’s upcoming albums. There was a rumor he is producing Phoebe Bridgers’ album too.

But then he is free until May. 1 month is definitely enough time for an album or at least part of one.

Yeah agreed. Jack has proven that he can be a great producer. Daddy’s Home was really good. One of my favorite albums last year.

I don’t really like the work he has done with Lana so far except for Sweet Carolina tbh. I know people don’t like Jack, but I don’t see how anything he produced is worse than WCE or Beautiful. The most interesting songs on Blue Banisters like Dealer, BBS, Thunder, and Text Book were not produced by him. My top pick if she had to work with a current producer right now would be Zachary Dawes too, as he contributed to all these songs.

Yeah you are right. I kind of was assuming that the production team included the sound mixers. I guess that is technically not always the case? Looked up who did the mixing for those two songs and it was Drew Erickson and Dean Reid.

Arcadia and Beautiful had really bad audio clipping issues. People had to reach out to Spotify to fix them because it was unlistenable at certain parts. It’s more so referring to the sound quality of the songs that have been released lately. Lana is partly responsible for not catching these issues, but it also points to careless work from the producers she is currently working with.

I don’t know if honeymoun is confirming that she is working with Erickson again here, but I agree with this take. Hopefully she brings in a couple new producers as well.

But she can make non commercial music that is also interesting. I don't really find the majority of her piano ballads to be all that interesting tbh. I also don’t think any hardcore fans got into her music because of her piano ballads. I’m going to keep an open mind though because the piano on its own doesn’t have to be boring. Fiona Apple is a great example of someone who relies heavily on the piano while still keeping the music interesting.

Maybe even less tbh. Since it’s a vinyl exclusive, it probably won’t be available on streaming services until a few months after the album is released. That’s what happened with the vinyl exclusive tracks on Solar Power at least. It’s probably going to be one of those songs only her hardcore fans know about.

This implies they scraped an entire album of songs and started working on a new one which doesn’t make too much sense to me. Never know with Lana though.

Didn’t she post a video of when she was recording the covers album? This was around the US election.
