I think Guns and Roses is so underrated, it brings up such an atmosphere. Probably it’s the languid repetition in the chorus that makes it sound boring to some but I find it to be dreamy.

Lana Del Rey: All 113 Songs Ranked, a Critics List
lili replied to salvatore's topic in Lana Thoughts
Of course it is all subjective, and many other parameters play into it. For example, I’m a synesthete, so I go for the certain colors I like. But if we had a poll, we could have come up with a more decent list... or not. Maybe you had one, I’m new here. Anyway here’s my top five: Shades of Cool Cruel World Honeymoon Heroin West Coast -
I don’t like Tulsa Jesus Freak. Maybe it’s not being a native English speaker I don’t know, but the lyrics ruin it for me. ?

Lana Del Rey: All 113 Songs Ranked, a Critics List

These lists should be prepared by fans who truly listened to and internalized her music. I can’t stand the idea of someone being introduced to her “best” work through such a list. -

Shades of Cool is 10? Heroin is 56? They should’ve been at the top five. I trust these critics as much as I trust men in trench coats hanging around theme parks. -
Lyrics: Lead me to war with your brilliant direction. (Bel Air) What I’ve heard the first time: Lead me to wall with your brilliant erection.

I’ll also never look at her occasional scat singing the same way...

What if any time Lana says “shit” in her songs, she refers to it literally... “And shit's even brighter, you're gone“ ”I want shit to feel just like it used to“

I remember that they were seen leaving Chateau Marmont together, probably hung out more behind the scenes too. Probably the lines “Idol of roses, iconic soul/ I know your name” fueled the speculation. I doubt that it was as big a romance as the song relays, but great artists always have a propensity to paint things in a bigger, deeper way. Moreover, it was a dream come true for her since she had always been a big fan I suppose

LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships

I’ve seen people speculate “Mirage” by Alexandra Savior to be about her, but it’s mainly YouTube comments and some blogs I’m referring to. Song was co-written with Alex Turner, by the way. -
I don’t remember where I read that but it was speculated to be about her supposed affair with Axl Rose.
