The fact that we've been waiting for this single for 14.5 months and we still don't have a release date....... For sure, it's the longest wait for a single LDR song ever.

Just playing this now. Ari has grown so much in my eyes last year, it's crazy. I always liked her but now I'm like a die-hard fan. I cannot believe how great she was in Wicked, how talented, hard-working poised, humble empathetic. She was the MVP of the entire awards run, and she's not even an actor by trade. She stole the freakin' show! Also, just surviving the awards run and not going crazy at the fact that Zoe Saldana won every award under the sun for that piece of sh*t film - an award that rightfully belonged to YOU. Like, honestly, well done... I woulda ripped my hair out. Also, the blonde suits her so much more and makes her a lot more delicate and likable. Lastly,her voice is just out of this world. The opening of the Oscars: probably the single best live performance in Oscar history. Okay, diving into Deluxe.

hmmmm. So proud that she sat on it for a year and two months? 🤔 All i know is that my expectations are very, very low. Sounds like her softest and least promising single yet. More soft than The Grants, Arcadia, Let Me Love You, and even Chelsea Hotel. I see it as another Yayo, Looking for America or Not All Those Who Wander, that just so happened to be a lead single. And I'm saying not to be hateful but to tone down the hype for myself so that I don't get disappointed if it turns out to be just that.

She wouldn't be messing us around not to drop the single in a month if she's just posted a teaser cover... That would be just cruel. Also, The Abyss is the second single out of the "pair" she mentioned. So, weirdly, she's on track. Henry will come, but probably in two weeks or so.

What if Henry is really just a 4-minute spirit brother of Looking for America, and Not All Those Who Wonder are Lost. One acoustic guitar, some nice singing, cozy fireplace music vibes, and that's it? I don't exactly think it would end up on my Best of LDR playlist, personally. But at this point, I'd take anything lol.
