  1. We'll never know how hard it is for her in terms of paps and being in the public eye. She was stalked, bullied, she wrote entire songs about running away from publicity (13 Beaches, Bartender). That being said, there's no need to drag a fan down publicly and mock them for the "I promise" line. Not when you yourself lie to your fans pretty much every time you open your mouth.
  2. This "era" keeps getting messier. love lana getting a taste of her own medicine. #KarmasARelaxingThought
  3. If I was that fan, I'd be like: Lana, I love you - but when the fuck is the new album coming out? Give me something, anything, and I'll buy you 50 cherry-flavored vapes now
  4. I mean, it's quite the forgettable cover, so no big deal. Choose a cover, go down to the studio, bang it out in 2 hours, go home, then cash the check. That's what it sounds like. I hope TRPWS sounds nothing like that.
  5. Right now: 1. Norman Fucking Rockwell 2. Born to Die 3. Lust for Life 4. Did You Know that there's a Tunnel Under Ocean Boulevard 5. Ultraviolence 6. Honeymoon 7. Chemtrails Over the Country Club 8. Paradise 9. Blue Banisters 10. AKA Lizzy Grant
  6. I second this. The song is legit garbage. Sounds AI generated to me. Or a Shania Twain leftover from the 90s. Most of all, it completely lacks identity. I think Chappel needs to stop mixing up genres until she gets a firm grasp on who she is as a pop girly. Even Kylie couldn't pull off country properly 30 years into her career. It's not something you just try on for size.
  7. Gurl, she said she was working on an album for FIVE YEARS. She could not have raised expectations higher for this project from the get-go. She should have kept it quiet until she was done. The classsiest thing would have been saying "I'm working on a new album, thanks for asking. You'll hear it when I'm done, whatever that day might be," and then just shut up about it. Not given two different faux dates and two different single promises. Her/Interscope's PR team really need to have a word with her.
  8. She said the album will come in Sept - it didn't. She said a "few songs" will come before Stagecoach, which is a month away - they ain't. Let's no kid ourselves that there's any vinyl pressing goin' on. May 21st is not happenin'
  9. all of it! The music, the skits, absolutely slay (and i'm not even a gaga fan)
  10. That's my top pick for single too. I'm imagining a high budget Tim Burton-directed aerobics video complete with black and white stripes, Wednesday-like moves, A Jenna Ortega cameo, and monsters. Really like Killa too. She killed it on SNL. It's such a bonkers track.
  11. 234 days since her last single (Tough). 720 days since her last album (OB). I mean, Lana come on.
  12. the most convincing imaginary tracklist yet. But track 04 gives it away (too similar to for k, part 2, or whatever that old song was called)
  13. you're really selling Deep South to me. I hope there's some Louisiana-inspired imagery and lyricism on TRPWS. It's such a Lana thing to do: going all the way from the glamour of LA, New York and Florida of her first records, and then more and more across America, the Midwest, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, and then the Deep South. Surely when she said "southern gothic" that is what she meant? Like one critic said, LDR does for Americana with music what Joan Didion did with her essays, and it's so true. And if you don't know who Joan Didion is, you should read her now. Start with On Self-Respect from the pages of Vogue.
  14. Fingers crossed! If we don't get a proper single next week, it's really safe to assume the album has either been scrapped or not coming till summer/autumn. So, let's see by next Sunday......
  15. OMG YES. Had such high hopes, but the script turns to garbage at the 50 minute mark. Was kinda fucking with it up until they start dating and start doing the boring on and off shit. Like, here's this Danish director with a theater background, who played Heda fucking Gabler herself for years. And how does she integrate this theater play narratively? Just to show that Banderas is a theater director at the 20 minute mark.*face palm. When I saw the trailer, I thought shit will hit the fan at his premiere (duh! Why have a big theater premiere if you're not gonna use it!). Instead, we get a lot of moping around and this supposedly highly successful genius woman acting like a complete imbecile. I love Kidman to death, but her taste in scripts is second only to, like, Adam Sander's and Megan Fox's. That being said, when she lucks out, she REALLY lucks out (Moulin Rouge, Big Little Lies, Dogville, etc.) Apparently, her latest (Holland) is also getting panned...
  16. Just to chime in, I love "everything's embarrassing". It's a classic. But i've yet to hear another decent song from her. The Babygirl track she penned was trash. Especially lyrically.
  17. We had three singles before OB album was released on March 24, 2023. OB: Dec 7, 2022 AW; Feb 14, 2023 The Grants: March 14 2023 By that logic, if TRPWS is indeed coming out May 21st, we shoulda gotten the first single late January. How can we be mid-March with not a single single out? If she drops the first single in April, does that mean that the actual album will be coming out in August instead? Also (completely out of boredom), asked ChatGPT to calculate how many days between each album. And soon, TRPWS will be number 1 in terms of waiting around for it. I'm sure it's been calculated before, but good to remind ourselves (not like like we've got anything else to do). Got it! Let’s calculate the number of days between each of Lana Del Rey’s album releases and then rank them by the longest to shortest gaps. Here's the breakdown: Born to Die (January 27, 2012) → Paradise (EP) (November 9, 2012) 287 days Paradise (EP) (November 9, 2012) → Ultraviolence (June 13, 2014) 569 days Ultraviolence (June 13, 2014) → Honeymoon (September 18, 2015) 462 days Honeymoon (September 18, 2015) → Lust for Life (July 21, 2017) 686 days Lust for Life (July 21, 2017) → Norman Fucking Rockwell! (August 30, 2019) 759 days Norman Fucking Rockwell! (August 30, 2019) → Chemtrails over the Country Club (March 19, 2021) 569 days Chemtrails over the Country Club (March 19, 2021) → Blue Banisters (October 22, 2021) 217 days Blue Banisters (October 22, 2021) → Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd (March 24, 2023) 518 days Now, let's figure out where her upcoming album would fit into the list if it were released on the 12th of March 2025: Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd (March 24, 2023) → Upcoming album (March 12, 2025) 719 days Ranking from longest to shortest gap: Lust for Life → Norman Fucking Rockwell! (759 days) Upcoming album → Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd (719 days) Ultraviolence → Honeymoon (686 days) Paradise (EP) → Ultraviolence (569 days) Norman Fucking Rockwell! → Chemtrails over the Country Club (569 days) Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd → Upcoming album (719 days) Born to Die → Paradise (EP) (287 days) Chemtrails over the Country Club → Blue Banisters (217 days) It seems like the upcoming album’s gap could rival the one between Norman Fucking Rockwell! and Chemtrails over the Country Club! It’s been a while since we’ve gotten new material from her—I'm sure fans are eagerly awaiting it!
  18. She said "Lasso" will be less revealing about her and family, etc, and more light and melodic. And, honestly, after two pretty heavy albums back to back, we need that.
  19. Are they even on the same label? He wont fund lana's exposure for the sake of if. the song isnt even doing that well.
  20. Hmmm. Who exactly needs The Abyss MV? If we didn't get Prisoner or Stargirl MV, we def don't need an Abyss one. It's a cool little addition to the LDR x Weeknd partnership, but MV worthy? That said, if its as mind-blowing as Born To Die, Ride or Candy Necklace MV, then bring it on!
  21. Just finished episode 4, and it's one of the best things Mike White ever wrote. The absolute best ep this season, and one of the best episodes ever. I don't understand the comments that the season is boring. Are we all watching the same show? Dramaturgically (narratively), there is SO MUCH MORE happening this season. May I remind you that the most that actually happened by episode 4 in Season 2 was a little jealousy, a little partying, Craig leaving for a work trip, the pianist having a heart attack, and Tanya having fun with the gays. Can someone please explain to me how in the world can you think that season 3 has less going on? I see these comments across IG and they are ridiculous. It's a little slower, pacing wise, because we now have 8 episodes (HBO's business decision) instead of 6 (season 1) and 7 (season 2). But that is why White is amping up the drama any chance he gets. 9/10 for the third season for me (and only because episode 3 did a lot of what episode 2 had already done).
  22. the nachos schtick is so dumb tho. It was fun for like 2 secs but now it's just cringe
  23. They gave it an 8, babes. https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/lady-gaga-mayhem/ Which for Gaga is super high. Think it's her highest scored album on Pitchfork to date.
