  1. Lana's deluxe vinyl albums visually are meh except Honeymoon. The covers are better for standard versions and black vinyl goes better with the aesthetic. I'd rather get standard versions with bonus songs than deluxe versions.

The coke bottle vinyl for LFL and the neon green vinyl for NFR is hideous. LFL aesthetic is so 70s that any custom vinyl is tacky. The mountain cover with pink vinyl are even worse.

The UV deluxe cover is meh while the back cover of her lying in a bed of roses is the prettiest album pic of her entire career. It should've been the front cover and the ripped jeans being the back. The colors of the vinyl are also off, darker shimmer versions of the same colors would fit more.

COCC Deluxe cover is too simple even for Lana and the white, beige and gray vinyl are nothing special.

Lana is pretty weak in that field.

How is dancing on Instagram a crime? You think that’s gonna hold up in a court? Come on.

The setting, the angle and the faces she makes is odd and not what you would expect from a celeb doing a dance routine. Also it's not very good and the clothes she choses aren't doing her a favor. It definitely doesn't mean it's a manic episode, maybe it's her creative outlet and what she truly enjoys. It can be definitely used against her but that's the never ending cycle of the conservatorship.

Britney being quiet = not defending herself = too unstable to take care of herself = conservatorship

Britney speaking out = crazy woman with a manic episode = too unstable to be free = conservatorship

This was a pretty bad performance. Their voices didn't mash well at all like in the studio version. Also, what tf was Lana wearing? It looks like something a Christian aunt would wear. Pretty bad representation of the COCC era.

I’m hopping on this to say that I’m kind of frustrated with her lately for this exact reason. She seems to be trying to prove herself by making the most authentic music? There’s so many name drops and her music is full of pointless anecdotes or just like “Jenny’s in the pool”. Like, to the point where if she’s scrapping songs because it’s no longer authentic to her current life, it’s getting out of hand.

I can’t say if that’s the reason for the scraps but honestly with the “let me write my own story” or whatever she said, I’m not the biggest fan. Love her and her music is great no matter what but I think she needs to stop worrying what people think about her music bc it’s kind of saturating it

I feel like she's trying to be Bob Dylan rather than caring so much about people's opinions. Authentic music doesn't automatically mean it's good. In most cases it's pretty boring because it's concentrated on the artists deep throughs and personal life rather than the music itself and the majority wants good music with partially deep lyrics. She should separate her music and poetry not mesh them together because we get piano flops then.

i agree with this but i don't think they broke up, anyways this topic is literally none of our business

and honestly i think is so weird that people expect and hope that lana breaks up with clay and stops being friends with nikki lane, like are you trying to make her life sadder? and don't even start on people who want lana sad because she "made better music when she wasn't happy"

some of these comments and opinions are not healthy at all

      Hide contents

not talking about you thunder corpse, just speaking it in general

What's with the constant Nikki slander? Not talking about you but the inside jokes everyone's making and some genuine haters. I was pretty late to the COCC party.

On some other thread people found some "proof" that Lana broke up with him. I always find it kinda sad when anyone breaks up unless it's a toxic relationship. I expected Lana to become a mom soon since she mentioned her own non existent kids in COCC and BB songs if I remember correctly. To be honest, her music was better when she was less happy but people shouldn't say it often. The same people probably whine about Kurt Cobain killing himself and other musicians dying, so not glamorizing artists struggling with mental issues would be nice for a change.

I just saw the trailer for Halsey's album and it is phenomenal, I mention this to say that when a singer puts effort into an album and in the unfolding of the era it is much more fun, exciting and entertaining to enjoy the era, not like Lana with chemtrails that, if you guys ask me, I could almost say that that era NEVER existed. I hope the same does not happen with BB aka LDR8... I really want Lana to put laziness aside and put more effort on giving us an era with visuals and a concept that is striking (BTD for example) but hey... I love Lana and I love her music but honestly and being objective stanning her sometimes it is boring compared to other artists.

I want to clarify that this is not hatred against her, she is my favourite singer and I love her music but as I said, sometimes we die of hunger due to the lack of interaction or lack of determination to take an era to the maximum, the last time that happened. It was with Norman because as I said chemtrails was born and died  a week alter cus of the lack of promotion either in advertising or singles with videos.

I don't remember very well how Lana played the other eras but Norman and BTD and maybe LFL are the only ones that come to mind when I think of an era in which the album is called really harnessed, to mention other albums: 1989, Future Nostalgia , WWAFA, WDWG ?, etc etc.

I don't like Halsey's music but every aesthetic of her eras is so flawless and pleasing to look at from vinyl designs to music videos that I feel like buying her music.

The whole Chemtrails era was so unoriginal and basically looked like a cosplay of the 50s at grandma's place and I HOPE she comes up with a more original era without ripping of TikTok cottage core teens. Her image throughout her career was a tasteful mix of vintage and new with a little bit of edge that is so simple yet so recognizable. My flex is that many people describe my style as 'Lana Del Rey' (BTD-UV era) although I haven't copied a single outfit of hers but rather mixed old, new + edgy detail:ohmy:. I kinda always have wondered why her street style was always pretty basic and screamed C&A mom collection while she looked always flawless when doing appearances and when doing something music.

Yeah, I kinda find it boring to stan 2020-2021 Lana because of the underwhelming eras. I'll spam my Instagram with her BB era if It's even close to LFL so don't ban me lmao. Also wish me luck to win a COCC vinyl on a giveaway :hillary:

This situation is so sad. I 100% agree that Britney deserves more autonomy and control over her life and body. However, I do find it odd that her conservators are so adamant on keeping her medical records private. I think that suggests that there is likely a more severe mental illness at play. If that’s the case, I think this is a tricky situation. Growing up with someone who had severe mh issues, giving them complete freedom leads to erratic and dangerous behaviour for themselves and others. Her 2007 breakdown did seem like a psychotic episode and you don’t just recover from those. If there is a severe mental illness at play, I hope she’s given the freedom to select her own team of professionals to support her.

They hide everything so hiding her medical records isn't anything new. The fans discovered this mess, her family and enablers wanted to keep everything private so nobody would question it. They were hiding until recently that all of this was happening at all.

As someone who's close family member had psychosis, it's very possible for her to recover in 13 years, a couple of years is more than enough. A conservatorship is unnecessary, if she was surrounded by loving and supportive people including her husband and family, she could've recovered in a couple of years. Everyone in her case can have a mental illness and stay mentally ill if their life is being wasted in a conservatorship.

You thinking a conservatorship may help her is what her "team" wants you to believe. If that were the case probably 70% of popstars, rockstars and rappers would've been in a conservatorship.

    Don't @ me but if:

    - the text was with a beginning capital letter

    - the yellow tone was a bit toned down

    - the flowers were either in the background behind the railing or between her sitting in the garden without covering the dogs this would be prettier than the original.

I always liked the concept of the cover but felt like something was missing.

In my opinion blending the concept of the original BB cover and this would be ethereal

While other artists just basically being lazy with a basic ass / blurry ass / fake-deep indie looking photo with no text, putting some parental advisory tag on it and call it an album cover, Lana DID LITERALLY SERVE with NFR cover that year - sonically and visually, yet people are too dumb to actually appreciate it.

Now thanks to ur ungrateful hoes, she downplayed the album cover thing, that was really sad. Y'all always asking for a Born to Die cover 2.0 for what? And that's why she gave us COTCC album cover :oprah:

I love the whole Polaroid/disposable camera aesthetic but it became so basic and overdone. Same for the square analog random film looking music videos like Good 4 U that don't match to the aesthetic od the video. Then people have the audacity to say that Lana didn’t influence anyone. In 2011 everyone and their dog wanted to be futuristic and over the top while Lana combined modern with the 60s and now so many people want to copy BTD/UV vintage but modern feel.

Cherry is by no means underrated in the Lana fan community, but it’s just so good, catchy, and deserving of the hype :illumilana2: I listened to it in the car for the first time in a while  today, and the bass, drums, and vocals were balanced so perfectly that it reminded me of its greatness!

It deserves hype out of the fan base. I hear dumb cheesy songs used as background in Reels and Tiktoks (like that I love you baby cover remix) but Lana's songs like Cherry are nowhere to be found. Once someone put an instrumental of Cherry on Tiktok and non fans were commenting about how good the instrumental is which proves that the song is underrated.

i've never thought this... about BTD, I think that's what she wanted to do. If you hear the pre-BTD songs they already have this LDR vibes, I mean, same themes that she put on that album. She dyed her hair at 2010, and if u see her in that year or before, she kinda start wearing clothes with BTD style and stuff. She clearly had a stylist/image consultant in that era, she said that in an interview, bc she said she "had no clue of fashion" (that explains why she was mostly wearing just jeans, but even in BTD era u can see hear wearing that kind of clothes too). Basically, I feel she was doing what she wanted, and she was the same person, not made up

Lizzy stuff definitely sounds like Lana, the themes she was singing about is so typical to her. Lizzy songs can easily fit into the BTD album just with more guitar and some violin. That shows that she clearly wanted that image and sound and it wasn't decided to her. I don't understand that people who claim she's an industry plant don't listen her old music but only focus on the name and surface appearance as an argument.

    This is so true!!!!

or like exclusive deluxe tracks for certain country. That’s not right bitch I’m here too ahahahah

For me the most logical thing is to either sell exclusive copies at a certain time like as soon as the first copies arrive in stores or at its anniversary, or at a larger price or being one in 20th copies with a small label for the lucky one to find it.

  13. I expected more for the cover, especially when it's from Neil Krug. It looks like it's shot from a phone with a filter from the Sepia set on VSCO. Maybe if the songs and the era are beautiful I'll like it more just like the cover for Ultraviolence is pretty basic but I love it since it's my favorite album and it perfectly matches with the tone of the music.

Same for me. I didn't even buy COCC because it's ugly and I don't want it in my room :gasp:

You're not the only one lmao. In every single vinyl store COCC is the only album in stock and the rest get sold the same day or couple of days after arriving. People just don't want it despite breaking records in vinyl sales. Halsey mastered the album + colorful vinyl aesthetic because I want to get all of her albums despite not listening to anything from her after the Bandlands era.
