I always find that weird with celebs who have stage names. The majority of celebs with stage names have legally changed their name or weird cases like Britney Spears being born as Brittany. What's even the point of a stage name?

Omg YES, but it sounds too good to be true. I love glam metal but I think it's too hard and edgy for her current image and age. I'm not being ageist it's just that the majority of rockstars soften up in their late 30s. Can you imagine her sounding like Bon Jovi, Motley Crue and early GnR? I can't. That suits Miley Cyrus more. I can imagine her covering Let's Dance by Bowie and having that vibe.

Some artists have their songs first and last for a reason and fans like to analyze. Some artists' albums are more of a compilation and the order of songs aren't that important. Someone on Reddit analyzed UV and it appears that the album's songs were telling a story in chronological order backwards, so Florida Kilos being the beginning of the story and Cruel World being the end. Depending of the artist the order of the songs has its meaning. Also, when you're buying an album and playing it, which a lot of Lana's fans do, the first song has to be a good intro.

Why are some of you guys acting like COCC wasn't a successful album? Lana stans are a different breed of people. We buy physical copies which are more valuable and listen it later. She's extremely successful in physical sales meanwhile I don't hear anyone buying nor talking about Cardi B's album, only her hit singles. COCC was #2, like every other album except UV being 1# so I think there's nothing to worry about. Yeah, it has less views and streaming numbers but considering that Lana doesn't give a fuck about commercial success, it's a very successful album. Some established artists put max effort and promote their album only to flop. If she made 3 or 4 bops with guitars and an aesthetic artwork it would probably be 1#. Teens would love it since rock is kinda getting back to the charts if you consider Olivia's music pop rock. Manifesting LDR8 to be UV 2.0.

I'm thinking that if she released all albums but in different chronological order she would be seen completely differently. She was seen as a BTD wild child until maybe last year. Maybe if she released UV as a debut album she would be seen as a classy dark rock chick and be compared to rock starts but since BTD is her debut album she's compared to pop stars. In my opinion UV and BTD were the only albums she could've break out with, the other albums are also good but not that unique.

Why not complete an album and reveal small snippets like a normal artis in the age of social media? I've been looking forward to the newest album by The Marias too and I can't help but compare how they handle the pre release era vs Lana. The small indie band sent their fans a piece of a puzzle of the albums artwork for fans to reveal it on social media, then they released a song, then its music video in May, than another song, then a teaser of the album, a pre order of the vinyl and now they're about to release it on streaming platforms in a day. Meanwhile Lana... whatever she's up to.

Come on guys I understand you grew out of BTD but it's still a very good album. Born To Die, Carmen, Radio, Summertime Sadness, Diet Mountain Dew, Blue Jeans and Million Dollar Man are CLASSICS. The lyrics don't have to be genius and super deep and the production is nice but I agree that demos are better for some songs. Please understand that in that time EDM was popular and basically a tone down version of what kids referr today as hyperpop songs like Starships, Hangover, Where Have You Been and more. So for that time BTD's production was probably very dark and raw.

Everything except Yes To Heaven. That song is so beautiful if you listen to the Honeymoon version. Serial Killer is probably the cringiest lyrics she's ever written. I can imagine wannabe edgy girls thinking "Omg samee I can relate to this". I still like the beat and the melody though. You Can Be The Boss has the same energy. Those things are possible with adults but the lyrics look like they're meant for an edgy underage teenage girl who chases after lowlifes in their early-mid 20s.
