Blue Banisters - Pre-Pre-Release Thread

I don't like Halsey's music but every aesthetic of her eras is so flawless and pleasing to look at from vinyl designs to music videos that I feel like buying her music. The whole Chemtrails era was so unoriginal and basically looked like a cosplay of the 50s at grandma's place and I HOPE she comes up with a more original era without ripping of TikTok cottage core teens. Her image throughout her career was a tasteful mix of vintage and new with a little bit of edge that is so simple yet so recognizable. My flex is that many people describe my style as 'Lana Del Rey' (BTD-UV era) although I haven't copied a single outfit of hers but rather mixed old, new + edgy detail. I kinda always have wondered why her street style was always pretty basic and screamed C&A mom collection while she looked always flawless when doing appearances and when doing something music. Yeah, I kinda find it boring to stan 2020-2021 Lana because of the underwhelming eras. I'll spam my Instagram with her BB era if It's even close to LFL so don't ban me lmao. Also wish me luck to win a COCC vinyl on a giveaway . -
Who tf would buy that book?

They hide everything so hiding her medical records isn't anything new. The fans discovered this mess, her family and enablers wanted to keep everything private so nobody would question it. They were hiding until recently that all of this was happening at all. As someone who's close family member had psychosis, it's very possible for her to recover in 13 years, a couple of years is more than enough. A conservatorship is unnecessary, if she was surrounded by loving and supportive people including her husband and family, she could've recovered in a couple of years. Everyone in her case can have a mental illness and stay mentally ill if their life is being wasted in a conservatorship. You thinking a conservatorship may help her is what her "team" wants you to believe. If that were the case probably 70% of popstars, rockstars and rappers would've been in a conservatorship.

She got me at the first part I was like "Ugh another piano flop" but the second part is niiiice. I actually have good hopes for this album and it wasn't there when she dropped those three singles. -

Don't @ me but if: - the text was with a beginning capital letter - the yellow tone was a bit toned down - the flowers were either in the background behind the railing or between her sitting in the garden without covering the dogs this would be prettier than the original. I always liked the concept of the cover but felt like something was missing. In my opinion blending the concept of the original BB cover and this would be ethereal -

I love the whole Polaroid/disposable camera aesthetic but it became so basic and overdone. Same for the square analog random film looking music videos like Good 4 U that don't match to the aesthetic od the video. Then people have the audacity to say that Lana didn’t influence anyone. In 2011 everyone and their dog wanted to be futuristic and over the top while Lana combined modern with the 60s and now so many people want to copy BTD/UV vintage but modern feel. -
Too bad... they seemed like a gorgeous couple who would have gorgeous babies

It deserves hype out of the fan base. I hear dumb cheesy songs used as background in Reels and Tiktoks (like that I love you baby cover remix) but Lana's songs like Cherry are nowhere to be found. Once someone put an instrumental of Cherry on Tiktok and non fans were commenting about how good the instrumental is which proves that the song is underrated.

Lizzy stuff definitely sounds like Lana, the themes she was singing about is so typical to her. Lizzy songs can easily fit into the BTD album just with more guitar and some violin. That shows that she clearly wanted that image and sound and it wasn't decided to her. I don't understand that people who claim she's an industry plant don't listen her old music but only focus on the name and surface appearance as an argument.

Thanks to foot fetishists leaving these kind of comments I now notice feet in people's pictures and expect the worst in the comment section. I wish people kept their kinks and fetishes to themselves. -

For me the most logical thing is to either sell exclusive copies at a certain time like as soon as the first copies arrive in stores or at its anniversary, or at a larger price or being one in 20th copies with a small label for the lucky one to find it. -

Omg yes or a coke bottle pastel yellow as an alternative. I know it's impossible but I wish artists wouldn't usually sell exclusive versions in places only available in America like Target. They have, you know, international audience... -
I expected more for the cover, especially when it's from Neil Krug. It looks like it's shot from a phone with a filter from the Sepia set on VSCO. Maybe if the songs and the era are beautiful I'll like it more just like the cover for Ultraviolence is pretty basic but I love it since it's my favorite album and it perfectly matches with the tone of the music.

My friends after listening my pissed off rant about Lana treating her fans like shit. My kpop stan friend sharing similar experience with BlackPink's team pulling the same shit except that their fans are literal zombies. -

You're not the only one lmao. In every single vinyl store COCC is the only album in stock and the rest get sold the same day or couple of days after arriving. People just don't want it despite breaking records in vinyl sales. Halsey mastered the album + colorful vinyl aesthetic because I want to get all of her albums despite not listening to anything from her after the Bandlands era. -
My gay ass friend when I said that I don't want a LFL vinyl as a birthday present because it's 6/10.

No matter how much was I saying that she got lazy she's still more hardworking than the majority of mainstream artists. She appears lazy for her own standards but you can clearly see how much COCC means to her and that she wanted to show us a different, raw side of her. I genuinely think that she's not confident in her work as usual and that may be the reason behind her lowkey attitude with not releasing stuff. Remember what happened when she revealed that album cover? She became a meme and people were laughing at her, not with her. Kinda like when you're roasted in a group chat and feel repulsed to immediately go back to normal chatting so you become lowkey and watch your words more than before for some time. -

A couple of things about Lana: I don't know if anyone has so many good leaked unreleased songs that are listened as much as her official songs. I remember when 60% of her songs on my phone were unreleased and I wasn't even aware of it. That's one of the reasons why I'm not concerned about LDR8 and also when hearing Thunder. The song doesn't sound like a stereotypical LDR song but it stil sounds like her. I'm manifesting of her going in that direction despite being recorded in 2017 with Alex and scrapped from their mutual album. Also wtf are people hating on LFL so much? Have you forgot that Cherry and Heroin are on that album, one of her best songs ever? Chill. The album kinda sounds like a compilation but Lana has spoiled us too much. Also I can't wait until late 2010s or 2030s when girls like Olivia Rodrigo start copying BTD album art for "paying homage". -

Lmao yes. I remember when I called her disrespectful it was kinda an unpopular opinion. Glad that people have realized that her behavior is disrespectful instead of blaming themselves for her not giving a shit. -

Even if she wasn't naming women and comparing herself to them she would've offended people. People an year ago were basically gatekeeping feminism and feminists and telling her that she has no right to feel like that and mocked her for considering herself to be delicate, which confirms that her feelings were valid. They claimed that feminism was always for women like Lana but why are then hypersexulized women in 90% of case faces of modern feminism? It does seem like exclusion although it may not actually be. On the other hand, she acted like she was the biggest victim in the music industry when I have yet to meet a Lana hater irl nor I have read disgusting comments about her before QFTC. Meanwhile I don't remember when Nicki wasn't hated since 2012. People still mock her for calling herself Gangsta Nancy Sinatra 10 year ago while for some reason it's not cringy to call yourself the Baddest Bitch (we've forgot that bitch was originally an insult to women). I defended Nicki in my previous paragraph but it's kinda hypocritical when she's considered cool for rapping about her big fat ass, being the baddest bitch while Gangsta Nancy Sinatra turns people off. -

If she has decent songs and music videos she will bring the hype back. For all of her releases from UV I was like "Oh, Lana has a new album, I'll give it a listen". I didn't follow the news, I didn't know anything about promo and eras, it was just in my recommendation and those songs are still on my playlist. I'm saying you shouldn't lose hope because of this horrible pre release era. We will be pissed and hopeless and when she drops it we will be staning, I hope so. -

Also check out a YouTube channel Riu Del Rey. It's uploading unreleased songs that sound very recent and were uploaded less then 2 weeks ago. Maybe they're leaked but labeled as unreleased so they don't get taken down? -

I don't know if this was mentioned before but I read a comment saying that Thunder was made with Alex Turner and Miles Kane and that they made an album together but never released it. The guitar riff definitely sounds like AM specifically Do I Wannna Know just more quiet. Now I can't get over that alleged album with Alex Turner, they're a perfect match.
