She probably does a lot in the background that we don't see or catch. I guess her schedule is overflowing, she's on some festivals this year and will surely rehearse for that and she'll be glad to have some days off for herself. Besides, the preparation for the album (studio recordings, photo shoots, interviews etc.) must have been very stressful.

to be fair, i think the album was not made primarily for the critics, but more for the sales and fans, maybe even more for Lana herself it's maybe her most experimental album. despite it has some outstanding songs, it's not very coherent and some songs seem a bit unfinished. I think the next album could become better.

I think this grandfather line stands for her "good intentions." She can't influence what dangerous things her father does, like shark fishing in the Pacific, but she can at least pray or wish that her (dead) grandfather will guide him or prevent him from falling into the water. She also cannot influence what thousands of people think about her, the only thing she can do is to act with good intentions and hope that people will eventually understand her.
