you deserve to go to jail for not liking concrete and i disagree you’re 100% right about bleach blonde baby though. i don’t know what it is about that song but it’s so adorable and i’ll never get sick of it
-
1:40 onward is a masterpiece it’s not okay how underrated this is
-
i love the lyrics on flux and how it’s the album where she finds herself but the songs are lacking so much. every song bores me to death and the mixing doesn’t help that genre of music isn’t my favorite anyway though so i can’t complain. i just hope the next project is something fresh and exciting
-
it’s bubblegum pop perfection the production is top tier and the songs never get old. i think people love it so much because she brought life back into boring pop music
-
bubblebath (including unreleased) > i disagree > choke > eat > poppy.computer > am i a girl? > flux

this version of boss is a thousand times better than the released version. it’s a crime that she changed the instrumental

thank you for the clarification. at this point, kim has no excuse for working with him. to anyone in this topic who’s adamantly defending her, i recommend you go read multiple threads on twitter outlining everything that’s happened not only to kesha but to a ton of other artists like becky g, bonnie mckee, avril lavigne, charli xcx, bebe rexha, etc. it’s very eye opening just how disgusting the music industry is behind the scenes, and there’s multiple examples of kim somewhat excusing this behavior and sweeping it under the rug. this man is a well known abuser and manipulator of women and it’s not okay for artists to “respect” and willingly work with people like this no matter if you think it’s justified due to a business decision. dr. luke apparently isn’t the only abuser that kim works with, so i’m not surprised insults are being thrown at her. i agree that a lot of things being said are unnecessary but it’s hard to be offended when she’s literally insinuated that kesha was lying about the rape that occurred. i don’t think people should attack each other in the thread or attack kim on social media with nasty insults, but she should be held accountable along with anyone else who’s well aware of his behavior and choosing to ignore it.
-
if she cut the long ass intro out of high school sweethearts it’d be the 2nd best song on the album
-
“it’s a situation between two people who i both respect” where is the respect for kesha?? has she even taken back her statements about not believing dr. luke is an abuser? or apologized to kesha for discrediting her and calling her a liar? you can’t say you respect her whilst respecting and being a “big fan” of her rapist. i wanted to believe that kim was working with dr. luke unwillingly but the aaron joseph tweets just go to show that she doesn’t care what he’s done as long as he furthers her career

random but the best songs on k-12 are the principal and recess. the chorus to the principal is SO iconic and makes me wanna dance while recess is beautifully written and makes me super emotional. if k-12 had more songs like those i’d be absolutely in love with the album
-
i saw a ton of tweets claiming that kim willingly re-signed with dr. luke last year but later saw some claiming that she signed with him in 2013 and has been stuck ever since, similar to doja cat. i also saw people saying that she’s liked tweets attacking kesha over the allegations and now i’m seeing tweets that the screenshot was photoshopped. so a lot of the info on twitter is confusing as hell because i don’t know what’s true. either way i obviously hate the fact that kim is associated with such a disgusting person but there seems to be people spreading around things that aren’t even confirmed

das me by brooke candy is what kim tried to do with slut pop but failed
-
if i had to choose a favorite from slut pop it’d probably be treat me like a slut but the whole ep is pretty boring and forgettable. it’s just not my cup of tea and throat goat is AWFUL. back to streaming hillside boys way too many times i go

i saw k-12 live and it was odd because the crowd was relatively quiet through the whole thing and didn’t scream the lyrics to a lot of songs but as soon as she started performing cry baby songs at the end of the show, everyone was standing and dancing and screaming at the top of their lungs. it’s understandable because the album was pretty new but she didn’t interact with the crowd the entire time during k-12 and then finally talked to us during cry baby so the ending ended up being so much more fun than the first few hours. the concert felt more like watching a musical than having fun and interacting with fans, which is okay but i kinda had false expectations after seeing videos of the cry baby tour. i haven’t gone back to a single song on k-12 ever since because the songs grew to be too boring and childish for me but i go back to cry baby here and there because it’s such a classic.

her first era has bops but the awful people she’s worked with make me not wanna listen to her so i guess you’re not wrong
-
slayyyter only has like 5 or 6 good songs
-
i can barely listen to this without sobbing it’s the most beautiful song i’ve ever heard even though it brings back bad memories
-
the replies saying that she isn't coming back for ages or probably isn’t coming back at all are making me SO worried i don’t know how i’ll live if she never releases music again
-
the main problem i have with the recent snippets is the songwriting. if she’s gonna make super sexual slutty club music, it would go over so much better if she put some effort into the lyrics instead of shit like “sex me, i’m horny, i’m hornyyy” and “this throat lady gaga, boys say hallelujah, gimme that ya ya ya ya” yes maybe the lyrics are intended to be mindless and vapid to make the songs more fun but it just comes across as lazy and corny it’s like they’re written terribly for comedic value but it’s not working whatsoever- they aren’t clever at all and don’t even make any sense. it worsens already boring vocals and instrumentals. i’m trying to remain hopeful but she disappoints me more and more with every new snippet and at this point i have little to no faith in whatever the next project is.
-
i could say this is my all time favorite song by her the chorus is EVERYTHING and the music video is perfection

the serve of the century idc

i’m so sad this song has a shitty feature it’d be one of my favorites if the entire thing was just kitty
