interscope is going to hell for not including feel myself on trouble also the intro of television should’ve been cut and controversy should’ve been the first song like originally intended

i agree. it’s laughable that she said the songwriting of this album is really strong, to me it’s some of the worst writing she’s ever done. i appreciate that she writes her own music but her lyrics peaked with the first 3 albums and i think she could use some help now

i agree that the lyrics are cringey and it’s definitely a weak album but people have been begging avril to channel her old self for ages so i don’t blame her for trying to sound like a teen. the poor writing and repetitiveness is what ruins it for me. i will always think that under my skin is her most authentic era but i’m happy she’s trying to give old fans what they’ve been asking for

you’re not wrong poppy.computer feels more cohesive to me though and the aesthetic is cuter. i kinda hate how childish it is but it’s less cheesy and all over the place than am i a girl. also pop music is one of my favorite songs by her because it’s so bittersweet and well written

the bubbles in the bathtub are SO cute the only thing i’d change is taking off heavy metal + renegade and adding cheerleader, golden gate, jealous, little psycho, i heart poppy, and numb (some of those would be bonus tracks obvi). but that tracklist is everything and the cover is adorable

the whole ep is trash but throat goat is OFFENSIVELY bad. 53 seconds into the song onward has some of the tackiest lyrics i’ve ever heard and the atrocious accent she does isn’t helping

i’m still annoyed over his stupid ass “puppet” song he’s a joke and i love the fact that he has 0 relevancy whatsoever ever since splitting with poppy

this. if titanic and poppy had just dropped the robot act or at least compromised to focus on the music we would’ve got an absolutely amazing album, maybe even multiple albums and more music videos under island. she did say she hated the control she was under but the bubblebath era is still everything
