It's cute and it'll probably be a grower, but as a "comeback single" it's extremely underwhelming. I'm surprised that Miley is playing it safe this time around. It's not bad, just uninspired. It's the opening track of the album btw (13 tracks in total).

I have no idea what to expect from this track, lol. I think that Kintsugi's vague description of it barely scratches the surface, because BOZ said that it's something unprecedented for both Lana and Jack, so I highly doubt that its alleged experimental approach consists of adding...slutty trap beats to an otherwise acoustic track. There must be much more to it than this.

I think he means that some songs may be too personal/potentially controversial (BOZ said that we should press play with an open mind and without prejudice) or simply that she could have changed her mind for the umpteenth time given how impulsive and random she is (like changing all the titles of the tracks to weirder ones), lol.

Yes, but Tunnel seems to be the first album title that captures - and directly alludes to - the supposedly "confessional" tone of her latest work. The insiders sound genuinely enthusiastic and passionate about the lyricism and the new grounds/adventurous soundscape of the album, so I'm being optimistic.

Given that LDR9 is supposed to be her most confessional album to date, the album title makes a lot of sense. I think it's her most mysterious and slippery title to date, actually. Chemtrails Over The Country Club and Lust for Life are the only album titles that I don't particularly like (as album titles!), because they somehow fail to intrigue me.

Antonoff described this song as their "magic moment". I wonder which track it is. Track 8 perhaps? At first I thought he was talking about A&W or the closing track (I highly doubt this "magic moment" song would be the Bleacher collab or the pastor interlude or track 14 which has a sample from AK), but it seems that it's another "automatic writing" type of song à la Fingertips, which is track 9.

Here's all that Kintsugi said about track 16 and the snippet: 1. When he was asked if we're going to get a song that isn't slow or even mid tempo: So I assume that track 16 isn't mid tempo or a ballad. Or...it could start that way, but it ends up being something entirely different. Don't forget that BOZ told us that multiple songs on the album are unconventionally structured, and track 16 is 6 minutes long. 2. Regarding the sample: The sample must be something very distinct and not something random. But being both an absolute fan favourite and something unpredictable/shocking with Jack being the only credited co-writer on Track 16 confuses me a lot, lol. MAC, Venice Bitch, The greatest and Cinnamon Girl are the only NFR tracks I'd describe as "fan favourites". So why would we be so surprised? 3. About the connection between track 16 and the sample: Hmm, the possibilities are endless. Perhaps the track begins with the sample, or it's somehow incorporated within the - supposedly stunning - outro, or the track uses some of the sampled song's lyrics, or the title itself directly hints at it...? Okay, I'm going to bed.

Kintsugi said that he was genuinely surprised when he heard the sample, so I guess it must be something really unexpected. It's either something from NFR/COCC - but would we be really shocked by a NFR/COCC sample? - or something unreleased with Lana as the sole writer.
