His favourite album is NFR?! I expected UV or BTD. Anyway, top 3 along with NFR and UV. I'll take it.

What's interesting is that Boz loves cohesive albums and yet he mentioned that there's a lot of variety on the album. But the album is not similar to LFL at all, so I guess that it won't be sonically messy. I'm so intrigued!

I'm expecting a 14-track album. None of the songs will be shorter than 5 minutes long though.

b&w (saloon pic) + slutty/cunty attitude (necklace pic) + water element/beach/ocean/pool (doin' time screenshots)?

I think that it's quite possible... Lana did say that she wants to make a long-ass trailer sometime...and she did post the LFL trailer on IG a few months ago.
-
Sure. But he might have expected an album similar to COCC and BB, so if the new one is as "wild" as he said - assuming he was talking about Lana - , his shock/disbelief/relief at how much he loved it shouldn't come as a surprise. + what @hotshot2am said. He tweeted that despite not being a (big) fan of Antonoff's work, when he delivers, the result is amazing (another hint at LDR9 I suppose).
-
IIRC her name wasn't mentioned in the first few replies to that "masterpiece" tweet (he said that the name of the artist was mentioned early by one of his followers). He also said that he didn't "expect to love it so much because it's so wild", and he's a certified Polachek stan so it seems that he was unexpectedly impressed by an artist's work. Plus the mention of the FJM collaboration and how "amazing/"stunning"/whatever it is.

Dame Eclipse and Madame Boz, you have my attention. Sign me the fuck up. This is going to be the experimental batshit crazy masterpiece we've been waiting for; a cultural reset; the album of the motherfucking millennium.

I just caught up with all the madness. The roses emojis are very intriguing. I wonder if there's a thematic connection to the album; it could be a reference to the album title, the lead single or simply the overall aesthetics and visuals of this era. Or none of the above, lol! It doesn't matter though. It's confirmed that we're getting a Neil Krug photoshoot, and both Lana and Neil - and Anna! - are very excited about it so we're about to get something really good. The Pitchfork article mustn't be a coincidence. They obviously know something. I wonder if they've already listened to the lead single (or even the whole album). In general, there's a lot of hype on social media, her streams are amazing, she's become a TikTok darling...I remembered Rob's post from the studio back in March when he mentioned that he's working on an "epic project". And the most important thing - Boz, apart from saying that the album is a masterpiece, mentioned that he couldn't believe how much he loved it because "it's so wild". Epic and wild? This doesn't sound like a COCC/BB rehash; both albums are extremely low-key and grounded. So I'm pretty sure that we're going to get something very fresh and unexpected - both lyrically and especially sonically - from Lana.

Maybe we ARE getting an icy waves/wintry beach photoshoot after all.

I'm getting Ultraviolence in colour vibes, actually. With a touch of Honeymoon as well. The orchids pic is very David Lynch-esque: nightmarish, yet alluring. The mountain laurels pic has this sort of vintage/technicolor/grainy/American suburbia feel. I have to say that I didn't expect colourful flowers, LMAO, given what she said about the lack of colours (lyrically, I suppose), but it's an interesting contrast. This is going to very lush and dreamy, I think. Orchestral music with Drew Erickson + Jon Batiste's jazz work + Father John Misty = this will be her jazzy masterpiece.

boz saying that he was surprised by how much he loved the album means that it mustn't be similar to COCC (which he absolutely hated) or BB (he was very mixed on it). On the other hand, I'm not quite expecting her to go back to her older sound, especially with the mention of automatic writing etc. I'm very curious about this. Perhaps it's her experimental album? Anyway, I'm very excited about the album title. Her titles are always evocative, and they brilliantly depict the essence of each album, whether one likes them or not.

fl0r1dakil0s saying that she’ll get Best New Music on Pitchfork; boz saying that it’s a masterpiece plus praising Antonoff’s work on it - even though he’s not a big fan of him at all - and the FJM collaboration too; that ATRL user mentioning that it’s her best album yet. What the hell? Is she really going to deliver her magnum opus?
-
I'm probably overthinking it, but isn't it strange that she said "we're going to make announcement"? "We"? Is she going to reactivate her LDR accounts so that her team could post promo stuff there? Just saying!
-
Her proud smile when she says "I'm very excited". So we're going to get an album announcement on Dec. 7. I guess we're getting the album cover + preorder + title + a snippet of the lead single or the full single or an album trailer? Anyway, it all makes sense. the black screen of death on her website + Eclipse telling us that he'll let us know when something is about to be announced (all his posts today hinted that the chaos on her official website is intentional) + boz basically having confirmed that his "masterpiece" comments are related to LDR9 with his comment on the FJM collaboration + the scat gods.

This is going to be a long day.

Not me randomly logging in after a few months only to realise that we're about to get fed

This is exactly what I thought when I saw his stories! I kinda love these spooky ambient sounds. Kinda perfect for LDR9's icy oceanic spacey feel.

-
I mean, I love Weyes, but I hope that's not the case.
-
Even random pics of her cats would do at this point...Post something, miss Lana!

Can't wait for Nikki Lane's post with Lana in the studio tonight xx

Electric guitars! Love those pink socks, lol!
